Will people be offended?

  • No way, go for it.

We are all planning to dress up for MNSSHP,DGF and DD are going as witches, I had initially planned to go as Fred Flintstone, but it doesn't really tie in with them.
I've searched about and the Halloween costumes seem a bit too scarey for WDW. I have found a Monks costume that seems to fit my main object (comfortable and cool), but the other half thinks that some will find this offensive (I don't know why???)

What do you think? Will I really upset some people by dressing up as a monk?:confused3

My thoughts exactly:thumbsup2 , I think she's afraid I offend some holy joes!!!!

I think you'd offend them if you dressed up as, say, Jesus on the cross or something, but a monk - go for it i think :thumbsup2

:goodvibes

My DH dressed as a monk the year before last and it was fine. He had a laugh with some of the cast members too, he was called father by them all.:lmao:

I'd go for Fred Flinstone personally, in fact the year before last I did!

Seemed fine to me, you do get a lot of "where's Barney comments" but all part of the fun if you ask me:thumbsup2

I'd be more offended by Fred Flintstone - what's he got to do with Halloween?! And The Flintstones aren't even Disney!
