Everyday that I wear my Fit Flops, be in the parks, or using them everyday I take a risk of my toes being squished, flattened, and generally abused by footwear worn by other people. I've worn them during Halloween time at DL, and rarely were my feet hurt by strollers or other people. If they did get hurt, it was more because I accidentally walked into something (have no depth perception, and am a klutz by nature). This is a choice I choose to make, as the Fit Flops have reduced my back pain by 90% since I started wearing them almost 2 years ago. While I still have ongoing back problems, they have reduced it to the point where I can function with minimal pain, and for this reason I wear them. Footwear is a matter of personal choice, and it shouldn't matter what you wear for footwear in the parks so long as you are comfortable in them and this is the most important thing...comfort on the things that you are going to be pounding the pavement for miles on.
