Hubby didnt get shot in the neck........he was moosehunting with our son and our granddaughter (her mom is our daughter) and hubbies gun jammed after he had shot a big bull. That would not bring down in one shot so he went back real fast to dislodge the bullet which he did........then decided to shoot it at the trunk of a dead tree to make sure before getting a bull moose mad at ya. The gun exploded into his neck. He being on coumadin for A Fib started to bleed. Our granddaughter was 16 at the time and she basically saved her papa's life. very tramatic for poor gd and for all of us......he almost died by the time they got him to our town. 160 miles away. A ride in two ambulances ....cause he would not let them use lifeflight.
I love my hubby and I say I love you all the time......Of course I say you are a ......blankity blank blank too......but I do love him.....

Men are funny about medical attention sometimes. I really dont think they realize how stubborn they can be

My FIL will deny an ambulance when having one of 3 heart attacks thinking it's just heart burn. Duh!

because the trauma center at our hospital .......well the helicopter would go over our house to go to this place and it makes the dog upset and the windows shake........so he said no......

no bull moose......the game wardens investigated this whole thing and they even came to the hospital to talk to him until the trauma surgeon threw him out

Poor Kaitlynn was in such a bad state for a while.......they even have trauma counselors to talk to anyone and they talked to Kait......she finally smiled when they took hubbies trach tube out and he called her at her soccer game .......the coach let her talk to him at the fence and she yelled PAPA you can talk.......she is something else

We are talking. Life is back to normal....but I did make him call and cancel our ressie for next week. I couldn't take it. Thankfully when he told them why we had to cancel she made it so we would get refunded our deposit.

Who knew it was a 45 day cancellation day when you book online? It was just room only with AP dicount.

Have a full tank of gas. Snacks up the wazoo (ouch!), Diaper bag fully stocked,
first aid kit checked, baby wipes and purelle, sun block and unbrellas. All chargers for all electronics bundled. Extra batteries. Pal Mickey, will he work at DL? Norah's kitty leash (she still likes it! Oh how lucky am I?)


I've got that feeling.You know the one. "What am I forgetting?"

It's always something. Once it was a whole pack of diapers and wipes I had just for the trip and had to buy Disney's overpriced versions. Once it was spray on sunblock. Once it was sunglasses. Trivial stuff. Nagging feeling!!!!!

Help me out. Does it sound like I'm forgetting anything?

My head? "pain relievers?" (I'm just kidding on that. But Tylenol is great!)


Dont let me forget cat food for Jordan to forget to feed the cats.

Amy, the decorations should be up by then, or at least most of them. Don't know about the Osbourne lights though, they probably will be because they take a long time to put up, so I would expect it not to be a last minute thing.

Hi NAB!! I miss talking to you, lady! Not much is new....just busy! I'm over my strep throat now, but still pretty tired. I'm so glad to be on the mend!
