That horse story reminded me of a trip to Germany a long time ago. DS was about 9. First day there, he and DH went to an ice cream parlor in town. DS backed up to "read" the board. There was a stairwell behind him without a door, and fell down the steps and busted open his eyebrow. My brother and I rushed to get him and then rushed to a hospital to have him stitched up.

A week later, we were visiting an aunt who had 2 horses. One was Max. Max was NOT a nice horse. DS was warned to stay away from him, but boys being boys, he decided to aproach him from behind to pet him.
Max WHIPPED his head around and hit DS in the face and sent him literally flying through the air. I watched all this and started screaming for DH to come. My legs were literally shaking, I couldnt deal with the blood, I was scared to death.
Another trip to a hospital to get busted cheek sewn up.
Good times!!!!

Welcome back MommyP! I thought about you Friday, I think I even posted it here. I coped by doing a work from home day, LOL.

Yesterday was great though, I ventured out for a pedicure. Staying in today, looking a bit cold and windy for me, although it is nice and bright out.

Ok, I think I am over working now. Time to do some housework

My DH has the Daytona 500 on and the gal who is singing during the pre-show has a halter top on with a bare back Practically everyone else is wearing sweaters or jackets!

I thought Lil G had a new tag, but last time I asked someone if they had a new new tag, they said, nope, it's been there forever -- so I don't ask that question any more. Congrats!!!

Mommy P glad you had a great time. I would take that kind of weather too. But I think I would change the dress.

I was thinking the same thing about Randy on Idol. I don't thing you need to reverse it you just have to over eat and stretch it out again.

Amazing Race starts tonight. It is an all star one. Those kinds usually don't measure up, hope that isn't true with this one. Housewives too UMA.

(Just to clarify for any newbies, this refers to working with it in Finance, throwing all kinds of twists in for a split resort. Otherwise it is a really fine product!)

Thank you Marita. Happy Sunday to you too. Not a great weekend in sports. The volleyball team played up a year but lost. And, the basketball team that I coach just lost. Crud. Now I have to go berate my poor children for not winning.

Back from helping Lowell's ex-wife move. Fortunately, we all get along quite well and it's as much for the kids sake as anything that we're making sure they're into the new rental house and have everything they need. Now we can go away and enjoy our vacation without worrying about them.

Lil' G Congratulations on getting "tagged." How very appropriate, too.

Marita Maybe you and I will get a tag someday.

Celery I am so glad you enjoyed my "story" so far. I'm delighted to have someone "win" the 100th Reader dedication that will truly get a kick out of it. I am not sure if HaleyB is still reading, or if Mr. Silly has read any of it. I really wish he would. I think he would get a kick out of the science fiction parts, and I wish he would write more of his own. Some is over my head, but for the most part his "Mad Professor" style is a riot and I absolutely love it!

I hadn't planned to post my next segment quite this soon, but if you're around this evening and you want me to post your "Celery Dedication Segment" I'll put it up tonight. Let me know.

I never said where and when we were going, just mentioned that we'd be gone roughly the same time as UMA, but not in the same direction. We'll be gone next Sunday and back the following Sunday. We're going to Hilton Head Island, SC. It won't be as warm as Arizona or Florida, but better than 10 degrees, which is what it is here at the moment. So, check for the Lucky Fourteen Weather Phenomenon and see if it works again. If so, we will have little or no rain and unseasonably warm weather, maybe a few days in the 70s. Normal temps are supposed to be low to mid 60s.

I can't laugh too hard about your Christmas tree. Lowell carried ours outside and set in in the front yard, still in the stand. Just till he could get around to taking it out of the stand and dragging it off into the woods. Then we got snow and ice and it immediately froze to the ground, in the stand, and has been there ever since! Actually it looks very nice there. I'm going to miss having a pine tree in the yard when Spring comes.

I can post the new segment tonight, but I thought it would be especially appropriate if Celery were available at the time to read it.

People leave Christmas lights up all year round outside. But we do have an excuse it is too cold to bring them down. And to cold when they go up. Ours do come down. Mind you this year it was easy the weather was warm then. I had years that the snow man or Santa stick thing was so frozen in the ground he had to stay up until Spring.

Kay -- we are suppose get above 0 this week. It will fell like spring if it does...Hope you have a warmer weather on your vacation.
