Lil'Grumpy? What did the dog do to your furniture? Chocolate is bad for doggies. What happened? Get leather (see how easy it is to spend other people's money?) it just wipes clean. We have microfiber and it is a dream to keep clean. Even red crayon wipes right off, ask Riley.

Hi ladies and Lil G!

Back from my nap. Distraught to find out it was only 7:40 pm. Another hour or so till halftime? I didnt grow up with football, and never got a taste for it.

Toots, my son runs runs a pizza hut, he is busy tonight, LOL. Seems lots of people order pizza. At least till half-time, he figures by then everyone has ordered and he might come over. I hope he remembers to bring my tv back (and hook it back up).

I can't imagine that performing the half-time show in the rain was very fun for Prince and the rest of the performers

The Off-Kilter boys cancel and run when it rains. Makes me think the sound for Prince's show was pre-recorded or they have better equipment than Jamie and company.

No rain here Moo. I imagine Prince really had no choice about playing in the rain, whereas Off Kilter does (maybe it's in the contract?). Or it could be equipment too, I don't know the technicalities of that.

On second thought, may it is equipment? Otherwise they could run if it is too hot or too cold too?

That rain thing reminds me of my grandmother watching socker in the rain (on TV,s she was dry inside). The players would slide around in mud, get all covered, and she'd get the biggest kick out of that.

DS just called from Pizza Hut, everything went fine till 6:10 and then they got flooded with 80 orders or wings! Has nobody any feelings for fast food workers?

I have a ?? for you about your microfiber. How long have you had it? Where did you get it? Have you ever had it cleaned? If so, how? Who?

We have some, got it 2 years ago, or 3...dang it I can't remember...I think 2. Yep. Pretty sure. 90%. Anyhoo..ours is starting to get weird looking. The ottoman especially is bad, like matted and cracked. Yep, matted and cracked, that explains it. We got our from Rooms To Go. Which I know gets lots of bad reviews as far as quality of their stuff. But back then it's the only place we could get credit.(Til we sold our house, paid off a van and other credit cards, now we have PERFECT credit! ) So, I'm wondering if ours is screwed up because of the quality, or if it's a microfiber thing. I love it though! SO easy to keep clean!

Dang kid drama! DD's ex BF of 2 years showed up at the door tonight, bringing her a gift of food from the best place in town, and telling hubby how he wanted to ask him permission to marry her (not tonight, but it was in his plans, he proposed before).
She of course has her new beau now, and was not at home and thinks he is a jerk now. I really like the old BF and feel so bad. But then she is only 22. On the other hand, old BF banged on her window and the door the other day threatening to call her names to her friends and teachers since she is seeing the new guy. And she claim he saw other girls while they were dating. but she ignored him with her school and sports.

I am too old for all this love drama!

Oh My! I just unzip the cushions and remove the seat covers and throw them in the wash. My DH did this last week and accidentally washed them in HOT and dried them too long and they still came out perfect and brand new looking. Ours our about 3 1/2 years old. Carpet cleaners have ulpolstry attachments and they do well for the rest of it. No matting or weirdness on ours and I have 4 active kids and 3 daycare kids. They were cheap too. Got mine at a Utah place called RC Willey. The week we got them, very young Riley (DSalmost7) took a red crayon to most of the love seat!!!! A single red stripe along most of the length of the loveseat. I took a cloth and warm water and it wiped right off!

Sorry about yours! Mine still gets a nice bum print on the cushion when we sit wearing jeans...NICE girth mama!

ha! not real chocolate...just flavoring. ..not so much a diaster in that
our carpet and flooring has been thru it..kids, dogs, hamster, g. piggs,
lizards, [crickets to feed the lizards.], then he kids growing up...
we need to replace it all! skippy loves to chomp on anything. it
was giving the coffee wasn't so smart.


our middle one..those stories are true, , the worst was when
he was 3, my wife sick & after taking cold meds Zzzzz.
i came home and the house full of smoke..that lil'stinker was snoozing like
an ...but not earlier! had climb out of his crib and climbed the
fish tank...removed the heater. you could "see" where he went around
the room leaving burnt holes everywhere until he got bored..climb back
to bed. put the heater back? right , it looked like a big old
cotton candy stick from all the melting carpet fibers....guess where we
moved the fish tank after this? this was our first house, a log
home. [ that's why the pics in my trip report was confusing nabby, the
logs vs..our current house..victoria styling..poor nabby.

we have a pretty nice home..utah m. , but we need to do a lil'work..,
eventually we get to it. like the kids don't stay little for very
long.

funny thing about my son lizard..patrick?! he hasn't moved off that stick
for over a week...he was nothing but a skeleton. well, the crickets were

Well, I, uhhh, about broke even today. Ok, I said about. As far as the proposition bets I came out ahead. I did not come out ahead taking the Bears. Rex Grossman needs to go. Way too many turnovers and stumbles. He really looked nervous. Oh well, only about two months or so and they will be racing the horses at Fairmont Park. Also, we are going to some Cardinal spring training games while we are in Florida in March. Yahooo. Hmm, I wonder if I can talk my Cute Lil Miss into going to the track down there. I bet not. Twinkie, you should do something about your cough.

Utah - I can't wash my cushions. They unzip and come out, sure. However, mine has a extra layer of "cushion" on top of the cushion, connected to the outside. So, I'm pretty sure I shouldn't put that in the washer. I always just wipe it down to clean it..I will use my Kirby carpet cleaning attachment, which has a furniture cleaning attachment, and clean the whole shabang. Did your's come scotch gaurded? Our did with a 2 year warrenty on all food and drink spills, if I wasn't an honest person we SHOULD have spill red koolaid on everything before our 2 years expired. Do you write love notes to your husband on the cushions?

Ok I was developing some serious furniture and vacuum envy but I think I will happily stick with my plain ol' fabric couch..... cushions already frayed and back part already personally resown to couch due to countless gymnastics sessions (look mama it is a beam! look mama it is a vault! ) that does not provide me with an accurate measurement of my bum or require me to write love notes to my husband

I agree with Twinkie about getting Mrs. Thins to go with. Surely (Shirley ) you must know how to "work it" by now. Maybe a spa day? New shoes? Every woman has a breaking point. Shoot, for a mere "chick flick next time we go to the movies", and a trip to the Nordies cosmetics counter, I went to a Monster Truck show and secretly halfway liked it.

She may be more expensive than me, though. Good luck?
We'll send a bucket of Pixie Dust if it'll help.

As ugly, old and thread bare our couches were, at about 8 months pregnant I threw the couch covers away because bending over and tucking them BACK in a brazillion times a day wasn't cool.

The day has just taken a turn for the worse.

I loaded up my huge Maytag superdupershouldlastalifetime washin' machine with a whole load of red and pink and purple very stained (thank you Itkzadoozie overpriced popsicles of dreams followed by syrup on Piglet waffles) load of post Disney (what? you don't have a whole load of pink clothes? ) and my washer filled full (very full) of very cold water and now

It won't work!

At all!!!

Won't wash, spin, or drain.

Nada.
Nothing.

I dutifully pulled out my carefully filed papers from my 1997 model. Read them. Did everything they suggested (circuit breaker, check, over filled, no, reset load, check) and then called the cheerful maytag lonely repairman only to find out he is a chick with a Texas accent with no clue. She read to me my fine booklet, reminded me that my warrenty was long gone and offered to schedule a service call.

So I unloaded the washer to a handy dandy sink that fortunately (and rarely) wasn't full of breakfast dishes cause I fed the kids cookies for breakfast (hey it is the day after the super bowl!) and drained the thing using my "hey you just gave birth so here is an oversized mug to encourage you to drink water" souvie from DSyummybaby. Spent an hour on the phone with my mom trouble shooting the thing (talk about the blind leading the blind).

DH works over an hour away and isn't at all handy. Except he can paint. And do minor stuff like replace broken door knobs. I am confident that I could replace the part..... if only I knew what the part was.......


Maybe it is dead. I don't want a new washer yet! Waaaah!

At least it didnt leak alll over the laundry room floor and through the floor to the insulation in the ceiling of the basement and on the kids' books in the basement like mine did last month. Just call for a service visit and hope you get someone good like mine wasn't. I guess Whirlpool just bought Maytag and so the Maytag Repairman will soon be a distant memory.

Ok. One of my dogs is lost (again). I found one by the kids' school. They are never appart. Slightly panicing. Luckily, she's the smart Golden Retreiver who may (or may not) find her way home. Her nose tends to lead her to distraction.

Thanks. Looking at that picture of Chad and the boys when they younger makes me wanna cry! Gosh I miss those days! Before they had attitudes and smart mouths.

Sorry about your washer..but it IS from what 97? Geez! That's 10 years old! I had to buy a new washer and dryer when we moved into the duplex last summer. I've had to have GE out 4 or 5 times for that stupid thing! It wouldnt fill up. The water would trickle out and then stop all together. I am very unhappy with GE. They should have replaced that BRAND NEW washer after the 3rd time they came out and DID NOTHING! Finally DH told them he thought it was the eletrical board and wouldn'tchaknowit! They took it off and a wire was hanging and only connecting sometimes, hence the water started fill and then stopped. Idiots! What's worse is you called for service and the soonest they can get to it a at least a WEEK! Who can go a week without doing laundry??? We'll never buy GE again.
