Open Mike Night - Everyone is Welcome Part 3

It's SO hard to put in my contacts :scared: I am freaking out!

The Dr. was so sweet with me and said it's hard at first. I tend to prefer instantly becoming an expert at anything I attempt. :rolleyes1

First I have to cut my nails, and remove my mascara. Then breathe. I am a contacts warrior!!!

I'll try again tomorrow. Wish me luck. They feel funky but she said I'll get used to them.

I did get some stylin' new NON-Rx sunglasses :cool2:

My daughters would sit at the table with a magnifying mirror. Only took a few days of practice and they stopped using the mirror altogether. Take your time, you'll get used to it

I meant visit not stay Marita I am definetly at POR.

Are you staying at the POP?

UMA I am sure you will get the hang of them. I will stick to my glasses though.

Nab, not sure if I am staying at all yet, depends on the itinerary and availabitly (which is NOT looking goog). So I will decide later and see what I can get. It's hard to justify expense living 40 minutes away, yet I hate to drive late at night, when I could just go crash in a room.

So, TBD!

Hey all just wanted to pop in and say Hello! i have a whiney sick baby again it's the darnm weather change .

Well all this cleaning today has made me tired. Good thing is I don't have to do any tomorrow :cool1:

I am off to bed.

Night all.

Oh, Marita, I'm hoping you stay on-site too! If you can, book now and cancel later if you change your mind!

Night, Nab. Your story about your son tossing Meatball when he has friends over cracked me up! I remember you telling that before :rotfl2:

Poly, I'm doing fairly well tonight. I just "rode" the exercise bike for 35 minutes and went almost 9 miles on it. I have a coworker who had both knees replaced and we've been egging each other on. I promised to do at least 8 miles tonight. It was hard after taking a break for the past week.

I have a LOT of weight to lose to try to help my knees feel better before Disney in September. I have been working on it since mid-January. I'm not losing super fast, but I'm not exactly depriving myself either. I think that has helped me stick with it. I just signed up for another 8 weeks of Weight Watchers today.

And thank goodness for Uma starting the DISappearing Peeps thread - that is a huge help for moral support! There's one gal over there who has lost 70 pounds :scared1: since January. She is amazing, but working her bum off (literally) at the gym pretty much daily with a hunky trainer dude.

I have never stayed at the Poly before either, but it's on my list!!! I'm just happy my hubby is interested in going this Fall.

Pumba - Sending some  and pixiedust: hoping your MIL is OK and you can still go on your trip.

Kay, do we get a new episode this weekend? :hyper: I hope so!

I saw your comment that it's going slow. Slow cooking makes it GOOG!

Yes, 5% of everything I take in. :lmao:

Thanks Betsy and Poly. Poly, I think I have you down as a reader early on. Maybe you "poofed" after a few episodes.

SWEET! Sign me up!

Kay!!!! I miss you!!! How have you been?

I'm glad you met the new girls. They are so sweet!

(Hi New Girls!)

Have a fabulous night everyone!

Early to bed, early to rise, etc!

Cheryl

9 miles is awesome!

Did you book the free dining deal for the fall? We booked the bounceback deal when we were there in December. Nothing like free grub when you're paying rack rate :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
My husband loves WDW- he would feel like he'd died and went to heaven if he were an Imagineer.

Yep, got the free dining, Poly. I probably would have gone anyway, but that makes it more attractive to my DH. When I tried to sell him on the dining plan before we knew it would be free, he thought it sounded like too much food. Of course, after I told him we could get it for free, he was all in!!!

I'll have to be kind of careful not to overdo with the eating, but I'm hoping to try some restaurants while I'm out and about with the Peeps and Meeps. I think if we use a couple of the table service credits for the higher end restaurants or breakfast, that will help. I can just see DH having a :mickeybar EVERY day!

My hubby is on the every 2-4 years Disney plan. He thinks I'm crazy for wanting to go every year, but once I get him there, he usually enjoys himself as long as I don't go all park commando on him. So he may just hang out at the hotel and relax parts of some days and evenings on his own.

Cheryl,

We had 6 nights of free dining last August. Out of curiosity, I saved most of our receipts and they totaled over $1800. That was for the four of us. I don't do appetizers or dessert. Girls have salad, entree and dessert
( sometimes) and my husband was usually too full for dessert. We also brought a lot of Mickey rice krispie treats home with us!

HOLY COWWWWW!!!!!!!! That's amazing, Poly! I tried to tell my hubby how easy it was to spend $39/person a day on food and snacks at Disney and he pooh-poohed (pooh: pooh:ed!) me.

I'll have to be sure to save our receipts so I can figure up our total.

OK, I just had something strange happen to me a little while ago. Our phone rang after midnight and it was a youngish-sounding girl making an obscene phone call :scared1:

ok, now that last part is creepy. I hate when my phone rings late at night, especially since my husband works at night.

Go to Deb's and look at the menus- it is certainly not hard to spend $39 a day per person, especially since the plan covers tax and gratuity. We normally leave an extra tip too, but that's not included in my total.

Yes, it was kinda creepy, but unfortunately I have had worse ones. But not for a long time, thank googness.

I will definitely have to print off the menus for the restaurants I want to go to and mark some of the things I want to try so I don't have to waste vacation time deciding! I know what you mean about the prices adding up fast.

Moo, it was me.

I couldn't sleep.

No caffeine either....Grr!

It is now 2:00 in the ayhem. Wide-ish awake! I have sleep disorders.

And restless leg syndrome, RLS, (Not really, but apparently America has this funky new jimmy-leg disease the drug companies have jumped on!)

Maybe I'll watch QVC and order me some Quacker Factory sweaters? (my mom LOVES those sweaters)

Where's the sand man? Helllooooo????

GOOD MORNING!

UMA I hope you're finanlly sleeping. Did you find my contact lens tutorial yesterday? I hope they don't give you too much trouble. You will love having them. It's great.

MommyP I hope your cold is better today.

Hi, babynurse1
