That's funny you say that. Hubby bought me a scratch ticket today and Nicholas said if we win we can keep this house and he would live here....

We would only be moving to the next street....not far but the house is new and it is the model home so it already has all the upgrades but not the cost of them. We would be going from 1634 sq feet to 2350 I think.

Plus it is right across from the kids new school that opens in Sept.

I am printing my daughter's photos- she took 200 on her spring break trip. She stayed in a 2 br at SSR. She is the first member of our family to stay at a resort other than the Polynesian. when we asked her how she liked it,she said it was nice...but...

I'm getting contacts today!!!!

I'm more than a little nervous about touching my eye balls! I'm squeemish with a wayward eyelash! But I need to try.

You'll do fine, Uma! I wore them for 20+ years, then had Lasik when I started having comfort problems with my contacts. Best money I ever spent! Let us know how it goes.

Well, I've been a Dis lurker for about 10 years and JUST NOW figured out what tags are!?!?!?!? I feel like an idiot

Utah- You will be FINE with contacts. Just do like I do and PRETEND that you are not actually touching your eyeball if I can wear contacts ANYONE can. My first (few) time(s) I fainted... like out cold.. like laying on the floor while people fan me and coming to later and having everyone offer me juice. My first eye doctor when to medical school and then to optometry school (he actually specialized in advanced glaucoma and other big time eye problems) so he LOVED it when I fainted because "It made him feel like a real doctor again"... his words... he also thought I had beautiful eyes.... mainly because I was one of his handful of "normal" patients while the rest had really bad eye diseases.

So long story short even if you pass out the first time you touch your eyeball (I did!) you can still go on to a long and happy contact wearing life.

MinnieMoo ("Moo")/Cheryl- She's dieting with me and we have to sometimes DRAG each other kicking and screaming back onto the wagon. She is SO NICE!!! She puts everyone first and is one I cant wait to meet!

Awwww, Uma - that is so sweet! I can't wait to meet you too!!! I am getting on the exercise bike tonight after a week's hiatus. I could hardly believe the scale today when I had a LOSS instead of the gain I was expecting!

I thought having a racoon digging up our grass in the backyard was bad....I don't think I would be going in the backyard there....note to self don't move there.

It's SO hard to put in my contacts I am freaking out!


The Dr. was so sweet with me and said it's hard at first. I tend to prefer instantly becoming an expert at anything I attempt.

First I have to cut my nails, and remove my mascara. Then breathe. I am a contacts warrior!!!

I'll try again tomorrow. Wish me luck. They feel funky but she said I'll get used to them.

I did get some stylin' new NON-Rx sunglasses
