We are heading to WDW next weekend for a cheer competition. Looking for a open, grassy area anywhere outside of the parks for the 16 girls to have a quick practice/meeting. Anyone know of a place?

It seems that most places at Disney you are discouraged from doing much on the grass. Perhaps the cheer competition organizers have an idea, maybe something near/connected with the WWOS (or ESPN whatever the sports complex is called now).
at POP there are a few grassy areas on the lake side by the end of the 50s buildings (bowling pins). There are no signs that say you can't go on the grass here.
I wouldn't spend any time in the grass! At CBR we saw a very large side-winding snake. Looked it up online & according to what I found it was a rattlesnake.
Talked to the gardner about the hazzards of his occupation & he agreed it is a problem.
