Oops!! "God-less coins" minted

"The first one sold for $600 before everyone knew how common they actually were," he said. "They're going for around $40 to $60 on eBay now, and they'll probably settle in the $50 range."

Oopsie.

heathen coins!
:thumbsup2

OT - What's the popcorn for? Did I miss some deleted posts? I hate when I do that!

Some people just like the attention of posting icons when they have nothing to add.

Glad they realized it. But the coins without the phrase that are out there would be great for coin collectors! That was one big "oops" :goodvibes

Finally, an equal-opportunity coin for the rest of us US citizens! :cool1:

(And my bet is on no later than post #20 for the first person to seriously post that "this was done deliberately to try to undermine our way of life" ....)

OMG how many of your posts are of this stupid popcorn smilie? Goodness contribute something once in a while.

ETA: Now I'll have to keep my eye out for one these. Neat. I love minting mistakes.

And we have some of them. My dad got some and gave them to the kids yesterday. He wasn't aware of the oppsie. The kids were just going to feed their banks, but I told them we were going to put them will all of my collector coins. I gave them dollars to feed their banks.

Hey -- did you edit this and hedge your bet? I could swear this said post #16 at first? ;) :teeth: :rotfl2:

I'm just surprised earth didn't fall off of its axis ;)

Bob-

You're gonna have to give me the name of your optometrist, because he/she obviously does good work with your eyes! :thumbsup2

I just went in to do a quick edit on some syntax (there's always a budding english teacher standing behind all of us when we post) and thought that #16 was perhaps a wee bit early. Nonetheless, I remain optimistic and confident! :lmao:

My Mom gave my Daughter one and I never even looked at it. I guess I should check it out.

I heard they were first discovered because these coins were literally burning holes in peoples pockets.

Never mind that I want to find of those Double Eagle coins.

It is the first U.S. coin to have words stamped around the edge since the storied 1933 $20 gold "double eagle," among the rarest and most valuable in the world. In 2002, a 1933 double eagle was sold for $7.59 million — the highest price ever paid for a coin.

Oh ya: They Are trying to underline the weight of my wife! Or was it the night of my life.
