I can't believe it's almost time to go to Disney! :dance3:

We cleaned the inside of the camper yesterday and spent the last two days washing all the camper bedding. I unloaded the things we didn't need from the camper and the Suburban. We still have so much to dol! I've purposely procrastinated on planning and preparations because of my daughter's health. She's been doing amazing since her bone marrow transplant in July 2013 but, the fear is always there of her getting sick again. I've waiting till now to really start planning (aside from fast pass selections) and now I'm in panic mode! :scared1:

I think we are going to leave this Friday and drive 5-6 hours each on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. That should leave 3-4 hours on Monday. With six kids (five with tiny bladders and a toddler who hates the car), we are thinking that's as much as they'll tolerate each day. Ok, it's really more about how much we can tolerate the kids each day while being trapped in a little metal box with wheels! :headache: We'll be at the Fort for two weeks. Hopefully the kids will be really tired for the trip home and we'll have less stops.

Thanks for all the helpful information provided by so many people on this board! I learned so much! I can't imagine doing this trip without the knowledge I gained from here. :worship:

Well, break time is over for me. Time to make some cookie bars and brownies to freeze for the trip and finish making the beds in the camper!

These are the days I live for! Have a safe and fun trip, be sure to keep us all updated.

Beds...brownies....Freeze ahead....look at you go!
Wish I were keeping pace w/ you, we are at 15 days until check-in, and I too am feeling anxious!
So happy you share your 'banana dance', it adds a little more joy to my evening!
I was thinking about doing a full out photo pre-trip report Fort-themed on the camping board, but since I took tons of photos to share LAST spring trip, and shared nary a one :(- that may be too ambitious.
I think I'll start with the brownies :).
Happy, smooth and efficient organizing!

We're checking in day before you...leaving next Friday afternoon from CT. Safe travels!!:cool1:

We leave two weeks from tomorrow!! It feels like I've been counting down for so long and now it's almost here and I'm not ready. Going to start packing some stuff today! We have four kids ages 1-9 and it's just so much easier on them if we drive through the night. So that's our plan.

Happy for you. :woohoo:

I hope it only rains while you're sleeping.

The camper's freezer is packed full with chocolate chip cookie bars, brownies, homemade mac-n-cheese, homemade stuffing, veges and a few waffles. My mom helped make some stuff because she knew I was panicking. My parents are joining us the second week of our trip. They are flying down and renting a camper.

Today is one day I wish I didn't homeschool. It would be nice if several of the kids were away from the house for a few hours!! :)

We are still hoping to leave Friday but the "to do" list is mighty long. Not sure we are going to get everything finished!
