Katya is 8yo, we adopted her from Russia. She is very excited!

I'm back to teaching again, the girls have matured over the summer!

I think I'm finally done shopping, but I'm in the middle of sewing matching mother/daughter sun dresses. I hope I finish in time!

I'll probably do a trial pack this weekend.

Boy, matching sundresses brings back some memories. I bet they will be cute. I always wanted to do that when my daughter was younger, but barely managed to get outfits made for just her. My mom use to make me, my sisters and her matching outfits for just about every holiday. Hey #1 Mouse, since all of us will be on the cruise, you think we should ask mom to do us up some matching things for the cruise?

I can guarantee that me and my sisters will not be in matching outfits - our mom would love it though!! Ok we might have matching shirts on the day we set sail.

Not to worry Steve, we did my mom in many, many years ago. She actually still thinks she's sane With 5 of us she and my dad didn't really stand a chance!!!!! Lucky you, you get to meet us all on the cruise - there's Carol, she laughs all the time, Michael is the smart one, Linda is loud & crazy, Laura is the quiet reserved one and me - well I'm the middle child - nuf said about that!!!!!!!

The whole matching outfits thing....I was going to make t-shirts for excursions for the 4 of us. My son still wants his, but Jordan (13 and of course, oh so COOL) said she'd sooner die than be seen in a shirt that matched all of us. Ha Ha Ha...guess who's packing!!!!!
Gail, enjoy Katya while you can. At 10, Jared is still willing to at least let me have my fun.
My beauty salon changed their phone number in hopes that I won't call them anymore. Jordan insisted I call to get her eyebrows waxed. If I call them for last minute appointments any more, I will be permanently erased from their books.
I am babysitting the bride's dog again tonight.....she just remembered that she wanted highlights in her hair, and I refused to call my salon, so she's going to the mall to get it done. EEEK! That could be dangerous. Oh well, at least I will still be allowed in my salon.
Gotta run.

SWEET you are a middle child too. We are the chosen ones. At least that is what I tried to tell my Brothers and Sisters Both Coleen and I come from families of 5 kids. So we know what it is like.
As far as being busy I have REALY done it to myself. I would be busy if there was two of me.


Anyway I will try and touch base tomorrow in between my errands.

Hey, does anybody know....are we going to have a full moon for our cruise??
And NO, I wasn't trying to start up the thong conversation again!

Is there a shuttle launch scheduled? On our last cruise (May 30th, 2002) the Columbia was scheduled to launch the day we left port...everyone was all excited. Then the captain came on and told is the launch was delayed. In a way, I am glad now that we didn't see it go...we would have felt a bit of a "connection".

the full moon is on the tenth. so we will still have alot of moon to see kinda oblong.

The moon is pretty cool to see at sea, as is the sun rise. The last cruise we were on we seen the wonder and the magic pass in the night, it was really cool. Maybe we will be able to see it again. 3 more sails and its ours

OK,

I have been reading the boards on and off since our best friends (#1mouse, and capnhook) told us about them. I figured I should make at least one post before our cruise (Sep. 14th Wonder).

My wife (Rose) and I (Mike) are part of the 14 member party that #1mouse has arranged (quite well I must add). We took the Big Red Boat cruise for our honeymoon back in 1991, and from the description and photos, etc. from #1mouse, there is no comparison.

Just to follow up on a few of the posts (damn there are a lot of posts!)

Count me in for the thong hunt, err I mean thong quest, err public service. We need to find these items so that they can be tagged so we know there exact locations at all times (for the protection of the innocent of course!).

I will not be wearing matching outfits! The matching shirts for boarding are fine but that’s it! We will not have another Mackinaw (see #1mouse for details).

There are so many posts that I lost track of my replies.

Anyway, My wife and I are looking forward to a Great time on The Wonder! See you on board (#1mouse will have to introduce us)
