That is 100% correct.
He would have been better of to just cut corporate taxes and get out of the way.
Capitalism works...everytime its tried.

I'm going to hate myself for replying on one of these threads BUT - the market would have been in the same situation regardless of who is in office NOW. It's all the crap of the last 8 years that put us here.
Now just sit back and enjoy today. I know Obama's second inauguration can't come soon enough, but you'll just have to wait.![]()

If you want to wish away 4 years of your life, knock yourself out.![]()
Isn't it a bit early to judge him? I mean, he hasn't been in office for 100 days yet!
It's this kind of attitude that will keep us in this economic downturn.
Let me see. In his speech the other day, Obama said the word "crisis", 26 times. He said, catastrophe at least 3 times. Now whose attitude will keep us in an economic downturn?
Lord, even Bill had to tell him to chill.
BO is showing his inexperience and arrogance. He will save the economy. And, for good measure? Never, ever forget to blame Bush.
In the meantime, Pelosi and Co. continue to pull his strings.
until Jan. 20, 2013.
It cannot come soon enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THAT is 110% true. While i enjoy dropping blame on Clinton, i also need to take some time to drop a heapin helpin of it on janet reno.....she was the springboard for the banking crisis, and barney frank and chris dodd are carrying the torch for her now. Those 3 together are 99.9 % to blame for what we are going through with the banks now!!!!!
Bill Clinton was always all about optimism. Obama seems to have a different approach, at least right now.
You are correct. Obama's approach is agony and despair. Great qualities in a leader...eh?
You know, I just have to throw this out there. I'm probably going to get flamed for this but oh well.
All I have heard from republicans is that the Dem's way is the wrong way. The Dems will get us further in the hole. Their plans won't work and we'll be worse off than we are now. All I keep hearing is negativity and this won't work and that won't work. I have YET in all these months to hear ANY viable plan from the GOP. Not ONE plan! Just a bunch of No's and negativity. And this goes all the way back to the campaign.
There's a major reason Obama won and McCain didn't. The minute this economy started it's major nose dive in September, McCain's poll numbers went in the toilet and never recovered. McCain never presented a coherent, well thought out plan to deal with this crisis. Ever. Is Obama's plan perfect? Absolutely not. But you know, at least he and his team have come up with something and are trying to do something about this economy.
Perhaps, had the GOP come up with a viable alternative to the current plan and actually acted in good faith to come up with a compromise, I would have some empathy towards them. (I know, who needs my empathy, right?) But until they get over themselves and the fact that they lost, they can take their ball and go home and be proud of themselves for doing nothing to help this country out of the huge pit we have been thrown in to.
