Only 1,430 days left....

I am sick with anticipation too!!!
two terms

FYI
Hope my spelling and grammar is correct.

That is 100% correct.
He would have been better of to just cut corporate taxes and get out of the way.
Capitalism works...everytime its tried.

And socialism has failed everytime its been tried. Too bad the far-left and Obama can't see that. :sad2:

I'm going to hate myself for replying on one of these threads BUT - the market would have been in the same situation regardless of who is in office NOW. It's all the crap of the last 8 years that put us here.

It's not just from the past 8 years......... a lot came from the presidency before W.

It doesn't matter whose fault it is how we got here, what matters is the day is here, and it has been coming for years. Although the stimulus/spending bill may be shockingly large, I didn't hear a plan from the other side that hadn't already been tried more than once (tax cuts) so it was a lose/lose proposition. Let capitalism work, which would hurt a whole lot of people or try something that might. Govt $ has always provided the bulk of the employment dollars anyhow...

No need to wish your life away, and to count it down will only make it go s-l-o-w-e-r....

If you want to wish away 4 years of your life, knock yourself out.

I would never wish away 4 years of my life, no matter who was president. Nobody knows what tomorrow holds, I think I'll just enjoy today.

Isn't it a bit early to judge him? I mean, he hasn't been in office for 100 days yet!

It's this kind of attitude that will keep us in this economic downturn.

Let me see. In his speech the other day, Obama said the word "crisis", 26 times. He said, catastrophe at least 3 times. Now whose attitude will keep us in an economic downturn?

Lord, even Bill had to tell him to chill.

BO is showing his inexperience and arrogance. He will save the economy. And, for good measure? Never, ever forget to blame Bush.

In the meantime, Pelosi and Co. continue to pull his strings.

I don't think I ever agreed with Bill Clinton before, this must be a first time. :rotfl:

And I agree, inexperience and arrogance. All his doom and gloom is really rubbing off on everyone.

Bill Clinton was always all about optimism. Obama seems to have a different approach, at least right now.

I have to laugh at the countdown. You should keep this thread going and post a new countdown each day. ;)

until Jan. 20, 2013.

It cannot come soon enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know, right?? I mean, I actually had to work on inauguration day this year! I'm not going to miss him taking the oath for a second time! I wonder what color bow Aretha will wear that day?

Seriously though, is there nothing better for you to do than post this? If you were waiting for the day Obama moves out, I think you've miscounted. It'll be more like 2,889 days.

While i enjoy dropping blame on Clinton, i also need to take some time to drop a heapin helpin of it on janet reno.....she was the springboard for the banking crisis, and barney frank and chris dodd are carrying the torch for her now. Those 3 together are 99.9 % to blame for what we are going through with the banks now!!!!!

THAT is 110% true.
VERY TRUE.

You are correct. Obama's approach is agony and despair. Great qualities in a leader...eh?

That's not his only approach! Wait until you see his "deficit reduction plan". The Washington Post has the story. I just posted a thread.

You know, I just have to throw this out there. I'm probably going to get flamed for this but oh well.

All I have heard from republicans is that the Dem's way is the wrong way. The Dems will get us further in the hole. Their plans won't work and we'll be worse off than we are now. All I keep hearing is negativity and this won't work and that won't work. I have YET in all these months to hear ANY viable plan from the GOP. Not ONE plan! Just a bunch of No's and negativity. And this goes all the way back to the campaign.

There's a major reason Obama won and McCain didn't. The minute this economy started it's major nose dive in September, McCain's poll numbers went in the toilet and never recovered. McCain never presented a coherent, well thought out plan to deal with this crisis. Ever. Is Obama's plan perfect? Absolutely not. But you know, at least he and his team have come up with something and are trying to do something about this economy.

Perhaps, had the GOP come up with a viable alternative to the current plan and actually acted in good faith to come up with a compromise, I would have some empathy towards them. (I know, who needs my empathy, right?) But until they get over themselves and the fact that they lost, they can take their ball and go home and be proud of themselves for doing nothing to help this country out of the huge pit we have been thrown in to.

Well as a registered independent, i have no desire to flame you, but i will disagree!!! The GOP had a plan that WAS working, the Bush Tax Cuts, it was proven though not reported on much at all by the mainstream media. The economy was going down well before September, BUT, September is when the media really started driving home how bad things were getting and blaming things on the GOP. You say obamas plan is not perfect....doing nothing, and not piling on trillions of debt was a MUCH better solution for now. IF i was a bus driver and told you at the step i was going to drive off a 500 foot cliff, you may survive the fall, would you get on?? Well this country is the bus driven by obama, and for reasons that boggle my mind, many many people got on the bus.
