Only 1,430 days left....

And just for the record, I consider myself pretty bipartisan - probably leaning toward conservatism. I just can't understand how someone's affect on the nation can be judged after only one month.

A year from now, I will make some judgement about how things are going. But, for now, I am willing to give things a chance.

I am looking at the 2000 drop in the Dow since the election! How many more chances does he need before it hits 5000? This is the Orwellian presidency.

I'm going to hate myself for replying on one of these threads BUT - the market would have been in the same situation regardless of who is in office NOW. It's all the crap of the last 8 years that put us here.

You're right. Obama inherited a bad economy — and he's made it worse.

and he inherited a deficit and tripled it in less than a month!
How did he tripple it? He didn't even double it.

The guy's not perfect, but please folks give the guy a chance. It seems that the far right are so extreme and unwilling - it's pathetic - and ugly. It's the far right who played a big part in getting the undecided vote for Obama.

Just think back to McCain's campaign - there wasn't one positive quote about how the old man would lead us in the right direction - every single ad was bashing Obama. Who wanted that as a leader of our country? Personally I;m not a big fan, but he's now our president, maybe we should support him as many who are on the left supported Bush, well until the last year or so.

If support him means to go along with this huge pork infested spending bill, bailing out the irresponsible, then no, he gets NO support from me.

Couldn't agree more.

Obama is rapidly positioning himself as a one term president.
Behind the scenes, Bill Clinton kinda commented on this.
The stimulus will be his downfall, and his desire for socialism.

That is 100% correct.
He would have been better of to just cut corporate taxes and get out of the way.
Capitalism works...everytime its tried.

And time will tell. It will be interesting to see who is "right" three and three quarters years from now.

I, unlike some others, am not a prognosticator.

Now just sit back and enjoy today. I know Obama's second inauguration can't come soon enough, but you'll just have to wait.;)

I do agree that no matter who won last Nov, we would be in this mess, but i also think that had gore or kerry won, we would STILL be in this mess. Obamas plan is not the answer and it will be his downfall in 2012, but not for he reason you may think. He will lose in 2012 because of what this spending bill will do to the economy, specifically, the media, they played the biggest role in getting him elected, he could not have won with out their bias, but after the media outlets start with massive layoffs, those reporters who blindly loved the prez will see they are out of work because of him, no more fake fluff stories, and if they do find work after long layoffs, may actuallly lay the blame at his feet that he deserves ( his role in this mess)
