Ok, so usually I make all my ressies over the phone, because of the whole 46 vs 6 day cancellation thing (room-only ressie).
We have a trip planned for Dec-- I had wanted WL for the Xmas decor, but no availability so we got Poly (no codes at all). Then, I found availability for 1/2 the trip at WL, so we had WL/Poly, still no AP code.
Yesterday, I found the whole week at Poly with the AP code online. So, I call up CRO--they can't find it. They say they have no availability at Poly that wk, let alone with a code. (The CM spoke with some higher-up in guest relations to figure it out.) Well, she couldn't really tell me about the 6 day vs 46 day thing. So, I'm too nervous, and I don't book it.
I check back at night-- the AP rate at Poly for the whole week is still there. I call again-- CRO still can't find it. This CM tells me to book it, if it's there. She also says that the 46 day cancellation policy refers to the packages, not the room-only ressies. That are still 6 days, and payment isn't due until when you arrive. Ok--on her word, I go ahead and book it! Low and behold, it does say on my confirmation, cancellations by 6 days out and payment due at arrival.
Now.... at what point to I know this rate and ressie will stick and go ahead and cancel/change the other reservations? Does anyone have any experience with this?
Can I call CRO now and will they be able to pull up the reservation? I can't pull it up online, but I can't pull any of my reservations up online right now. Although, when I log into MyDisneyVacation, it does say "You have 31 days until your next vacation!"
(A secondary dilemma... if the rate is good, do we just go with the Poly the whole week, since it is only $30 more per night than WL, and we wouldn't have to switch resorts at all?)
