Online dining reservations question - 3 separate reservations on same day?

Is it possible to do 3 separate reservations for the same character lunch on the same day (ok to do different times within 15-30 minutes of each other)?

There are 3 of us on the room reservation (through DVC) and we want to make reservations at Akershus & Cinderella's Royal Table for lunch. It looks like parties of 1-4 only get 1 photo package and there are no "discounts" on the 2nd through 4th diner (even though you have to share pictures).

So, is it possible? Has anyone tried it? Hopefully this isn't trying to get around the rules or anything, but we each want our own separate photo packages and don't mind sitting with strangers (after all, we are going to be at WDW for 14 nights so it's not like we won't have other opportunities to talk!).

Yes, if they are made in different names.

You won't be "sitting with strangers" at CRT but you might not be sitting near each other. From what I can see instead of making a reservation for three you want to make three separate reservations for one so that each of you have your own separate photo packages. You can ask for them to put you together or near each other but you could each be sitting at your own tables at opposite ends of the restaurant.

That's my plan! So we can each get our own photo packages. Three separate reservations for one and if we can't get the same slot but be within 30 minutes of each other, we are fine. Now, I wonder if it will work with the online reservation system.

Yes, it will work (if they have the availability)....provided you do not book them all under the same name and phone number. If you're on a dining plan though, the online system may not work if you try to link the dining plan so you can get out of paying the full price at booking. Then, you'd have to call.

You will actually need a separte credit card for each reservation.
