Yes. You can also complete the check in process, get your port arrival time and print out the boarding form, and then go back in later to update your payment selection, means of arriving at the port, etc.

Sort of. You can put in a credit card or cash as a payment option for each person individually during online check in. However, if you put in cash for someone, you don't change that when arriving at port. You will do that by going to Guest Services once onboard the ship.

and other room as me and my sister

I was worried about
stateroom with hubby 2 different credit cards
and my stateroom 2 différents credit cards
but as one poster said I can put 1 credit card for hubby and one for BIL
and one for me and one for my sister and we will have 4 independent room bills if I got this correct ?
i am right on this ?

Yes, I remember replying to you in your other thread(s) about this.

Don't worry about the stateroom arrangement for this part; it really has little to do with what you're trying to do. Each person will have their own onboard account, and their own folio (bill). Again, this happens regardless of who/how many are in each stateroom, so don't worry about that.

It sounds like you want to be able to use 4 different credit cards, one for each person. You can absolutely do this. You can either enter the credit card info (for each person individually) during online check in, or to your earlier question, you can put 'cash' for them during online check in, then go back and update with credit cards numbers later (or once onboard).

Yeah, I can see where strategically putting people in different staterooms to maximize Platinum benefits can lead to other things being stressful/confusing. With regards to onboard accounts and payment methods thought, it really doesn't make a difference who is where, because each person has their own onboard account and associated payment method.

And just remember: there is very little you can do during online check in that can't be fixed down the road. DCL CMs are incredibly helpful, so if something goes awry, just go to Guest Services once onboard and they can take care of it. You have a good weekend as well

I find it easier and less stressful to enter credit card info before I am on the ship. Doing it at home, with no one in line behind me - and having less risk of language barriers - to be preferable. (And yours would involve adding cards for 4 people. Not my idea of what to do while on vacation.)

I will go online in about a week - for my cruise that starts in 2 weeks - to change from “Cash” to credit card. I sail with my sister and we both use our own cards.

Ship Accounting views each stateroom as a single entity. Any concern about multiple credit cards would come from your credit card company if you share a card with your spouse. Check with them to see if you need to make a Notification of Travel. (This procedure/ policy has gone away with most cards over the last years.). I have had charges declined in my home town and had to call Card Member services to report it was not a fraudulent use.

….I have also forgotten to change from the cash option and been denied final disembarkation until I went to Guest Services to close out my account.

I have been trying to get the idea across to her to just do each person’s information for that person.

Without worrying if that will cause confusion for the cruise line. To realize that the Night Accountant isn’t going to run charges and see that two separate cabins have the same 2 cards in use. And much of it is likely computerized, anyway.

Same thing the spare keys. We have spelled it out. It’s simple and straight forward. Multiple people have used different wording to get across the same information.

Trying to reassure her not to create problems that might not exist - but definitely okay to ask so she can be prepared and everything will go smoothly.

And, yes, I have been following her concerns. So pleased she got through online check-in feeling good.
