Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

Hello to everyone!

I've read through the last couple of days' postings, but I haven't seen an answer to a specific question.

Our group is nine people, and we are all staying at ASMov with DDP. BUT, our group is split into four reservation numbers. At CRT there will be seven of us, while all of us are going to PSD at Akershus.

Here's the question: When I'm booking for CRT and PSD, using MY reservation number, will it allow me to make reservations for the entire group with the DDP (no CC required), or will I need to pay with a CC for the members that AREN'T on our reservation? Has anyone else had this specific situation?

Thanks in advance!

I still can not get my +10 window to open.

The good news is I found almost everything I wanted available when I called this morning.

Le Cel twice.
Crystal Palace early (4:30) on a MNSSHP day.
I did not try for Mickey's or the Castle, so I don't know about them but everything else I booked I got the exact time I asked for. I think being out of the general public FD is helping.

The only one I had trouble with was afternoon Tea :confused3 Maybe there is a special event? I will try calling them directly as that has always worked in the past.

I hope the system works for everyone else, but don't panic if not, just call like the old days :)

Favorites...

I thought I read a while back a suggestion to mark all of the restaurants you plan to book at to your Favorites list. That way you won't have to search through the main page with its default setting and then pick the park/resort scroll down to your restaurant, etc - so I've started to do this. But when I go to my favorites list, there isn't an easy link to book from the Favorites list. I click on the restaurant name, which opens a new IE session with the page for the restaurant, and then I have to click the "make a reservation" on that page, which finally opens the reservation booking date list.

So my question is - does this sound right to everyone? If you search through all of the restaurants from the main dining page, you can click the "Book a Reservation" link directly from the restaurant list instead of having to go to that restaurant's page. If so, the web designer stinks for making you click through so much to complete an action (you want a customer to click as few times as possible so they don't get frustrated/bored and abandon the process).

Thanks

I made my ADR's a couple days ago and had been playing with favorites, but I gave up on them and just used the list and book a reservation button because it was too many clicks. I did the multiple tab thing and had several restaurants up at once. I also got them each ready logging in and connecting my ressie (one time) and by entering my times and people (on each tab) but found that in order to get the +10 to show up I had to refresh once 6:00 hit and refreshing wiped out my times and people so I had to reenter them. I was able to get everything I wanted except Le Cellier because I wanted it earlier in my trip, but I was able to get what I wanted at LC the next morning when I tried checking again. So there is hope for what you want. Now I just have to resist the urge to make the times perfect! Good Luck.:wizard:

snurk71 I also forgot, in case you haven't seen it - there is a place at the top of the restaurants list to show all restaurant and sort alpha so you don't have to do the resort checking on the left. . . .

Pixar, so you logged in before 6:00 and then opened a new tab for each restaurant you wanted, refreshed all tabs at 6:00 (in order to trigger the +10), and then entered the times on each tab and added to cart throughout all the open tabs? I've noticed that after you book a time and then go back to the list, it switches the view back to 9 pages instead of the "view all" view. So I'd like to avoid this tomorrow morning.

Thanks

Cart?

Okay, where is the dining cart link at to where you can see all of the items that are in your cart? I know you can see everything when you add a new ARD to your cart. But is there a spot on the main restaurant page where you can click directly to your cart without adding in a new ADR?

Thanks

Not that I found last week. There is no "check cart" button. The only way to see your cart is to add something to it.

In the top right hand corner it says "My Disney Vacation" next to a little orange suitcase. Hover over it and a drop down menu comes down, click "my saved dining offers". That should bring up your ADR cart. Hope that helps! :)

If there is I never found it.
Which is bad design.

The several clicks to book may be intentional to slow the process down a tad, or else it is just bad design. For a company that is cutting edge in some of the ways they use technology, their website is terrible.

I thought the problem with ressies made by travel agents had been solved. I could be wrong, though, I have been before (just ask my kids).

Looking online I only see that you can book through October 15th, do you see the same thing. According to my countdown I should be able to book October 17th reservations now.:confused3:surfweb:

16th is bookable now, 17th will be available online at 11am.

Trying to book Hoop-De-Doo online, but it wants to charge me $109 to my card, however I'm on the dining plan.
How do I get round this?

I just completed our reservations for CRT and PSD at Akershus - both of which require credit cards if you're not on the Dining Plan.

To avoid the credit card requirement, click the link for "Retrieve Reservation" just above the date selection. Once your resort reservation (read: DDP) is associated with the dining reservation, you should be all set.

Hope this helps!
