Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

I just booked our FD vacation for November. The booking CM told me on the phone that you could only do dining reservations online for the 90th day and you had to call disney dining if you wanted 90 + 10. Based on other posts here, that doesn't seem to be right. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks for your help.

You can do the 90+10 online if you are staying on property. You just have to connect your resort reservation to your dining reservations before you make all your ADR's. I had trouble with this because we are renting DVC points for our stay but I've read lots & lots of posts about this working just fine! Good luck!

That is what I thought. We are staying on property and the CM was emphatic that we could only book at 90 days online and had to call for the 90 + 10. I was afraid something had changed! Thanks for the info.

Ok, all sorted out. When I reserved I used my home phone number, but then at the end, after check out it asked for a number that I could be reached at during the vacation. Of course I entered my cell number. Well, when you do that it associates that phone number with the reservation instead of the number I used when I started. Very confusing. But, I saw the ADRs and they are there.

I know I have seen it on here some where, but I can't find it. Could anyone direct me to website where you can put in the first date of your trip and it will calculate the first day you can make your ADR's. I know I could count it out myself, but I want to double check my counting.

Once they're booked, how do you retrieve your ADR's online to review them?

Log In and go to "My Vacation" orange suitcase in top right hand corner.

A drop down box will have the option "My Dining Reservations"

In this spot you can type in the confirmation number and your phone number and the info will be retrieved.

Here is my experience from Sunday:

I was online at 6:01. I am staying our first 4 nights on points at BWV. My DVC ressie pulled up just fine and I was able to get all the ressies I wanted at the times I wanted with no issues. I even got CP at 5:30 on the night of our Halloween Party. It was all very perfect.

The trouble came when I went to book the last 3 nights of our trip. Because it was a split ressie it wouldnt let me book the second part of the trip. I called. At first the cast member wasnt going to help me. She just kept telling me to call back at 90 days from the second ressie to which I replied why am I staying on property if I dont have the perks? I asked to speak to a manager because I insisted there was a way to book those days. At that point she decided she was probably going to have a complaint made about her so she just booked it for me. She knew a manager would do it so she decided to do it herself but her attitude was sour from the moment she said hello. Oh well. I stand by my arguement that I am a Disney guest for 8 days regardless of where I sleep.

End result is I got everything and even with a DVC confirm # I was able to book online.

I did a quick viewing and cannot find this information. I know I can call at 7:00am 90 days out to book ADR's.

What time does the on-line dining reservations open at 90 days in advance? 12:01am???

The online dining reservation system opens at 6am ET.

No you cannot reserve special events. You still need to call for that

Yes they work and yes you can make them even if you are not staying on property

I'm sorry you have to cancel.

YOu can cancel on line. If you log into "My Vacation" and then click on the My Vacation button in the upper-right, you can enter your confirmation number and phone number. This will bring up your reservation and there is a cancel button there.

I hope you are able to reschedule soon.

Yes, you can cancel ADR's online, even if you made the reservations over the phone.

Under My Disney Vacation, there is a Dining Reservations option.
Click on this.
Enter your confirmation number and phone number.
It will show that reservation.
Click on Cancel Reservation.
A pop up will appear asking you to confirm the cancellation.
The next screen will show the reservation with Cancelled in red next to it.
