Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

I guess what I'm asking is...

Does it make sense to wake up and start doing it online at 6am and then call at 7am?

Or should I hold off and do it over the phone at 7am?
 
Ok I have a question. I am not positive what phone number is associated with my reservation. Can I check that previous to my 90 day mark? I don't want to be sitting on my computer at 5 am trying to figure it out. My day is next sunday. Should I call disney? Can I somehow check online?

Yes, you shoud be able to retrieve your reservation right now. Mine came up with a cell phone # that is not listed on my reservation. I believe it is in the system from a previous trip.
 
Read a report on another board that a person with a DVC reservation was able to retrieve the reservation in the dining system to link the ADRs to.

Not saying it's fixed, but DVC people may want to give it a shot. TA reservations are not fixed; I just tested mine again.
 
I'm beginning to wonder if there is something wrong with the system. Too many people are getting the reservation they "couldn't get for weeks over the phone."

Hopefully this doesn't result in packed restaurants when they are double booked!

I was wondering this too. Seems too good to be true ... unless they are snagging cancellations :confused3 - it might be easier to grab a cancellation if you are playing a lot with the online system rather than making a periodic phone call?

If you can pull up your resort reservation online you will be all right to make dining reservations regardless of the phone # you have linked to the reservation. When I made my reservations today I didn't put in a phone # until after choosing the place and time I wanted, at that point I was asked for the # I could be reached at while on vacation. I put in my cell #. It wasn't until later when I went to pull my dining reservations back up and I couldn't that I realized I was using my home # instead of my cell # and that was why the system couldn't find them. So if you can't find your dining reservations after making them try using a different phone # and cross your fingers:goodvibes

I hope you get all the reservations you want. I think you have a pretty good chance online.
 
Hopefully one of the resident TAs can give me a hand.

We have a vacation already planned through a TA. Now with the addition of the online reservation system, we are interested in using that because of convenience.

When we try to get in to pull up our reservations to do the 90+10, our reservation isn't found (looking through boards it looks like a common problem).

Is booking through the TA ADR site an option? Are we stuck using the phone to be able to access the +10 days?

As of right now your TA will have to make your reservations online.

I am going to move this to the Online ADR thread, this is a very common question there and that's where it'll be posted when this loophole gets 'fixed' and everyone can access their reservations online.
 
So the TA is able to make the reservation online - even though it isn't showing up on Disney's site?
 
I see they are working on some of the problems. I get a new message now that will let me make my reservations even if the phone # field does not work. "We are unable to retrieve your reservation. You may continue to make your dining reservations, contact your travel agent, or call 407-WDW-DINE for assistance." That was not the warning I got earlier today. Now if they only get the 90+10 working for us people that booked with a TA.
 
I changed times on two but can't delete the old ones because it doesn't recognize either the phone # or the ressie #.

I think it may be cancellations because yesterday I couldn't get any times I wanted so just left it and today there was times that I wanted. I don't know if people are canceling because I am coming up on the 45 days that my trip has to be paid but I am a happy camper.
 
Can I just say I LOVE online dining ressies!

Have been playing around for days now trying to tweak my ressies for the first week of free dining.

Well, low and behold... tonight I tried again -found availability all over the place! Just rearranged many of my meals and finally got everything how I want it!
Really, it was crazy - stuff I've been trying for....
CRT lunch.... on multiple days it was coming up with various availability for lunch, dinner and even breakfast.
Tusker House - which day do I want to go? Had availability now for EVERY day of my trip.
Whereas before... couldn't switch ANY of my dinner ressies - none were available for anything. Like MK.... been trying for Tony's, CRT, Crystal Palace - nope, not for any nights. Now... which one do I want? everything was coming up.
Only ones that were not coming up for me was Chef Mickey's or Park Fare dinner for dates I plugged in out of curiosity. Also not much luck doing better on my Garden Grill.. though some availability for other times was finally showing up. Planet Hollywood - what's up with that? CRT coming up all over the place... but nope, no lousy PH for some reason! Never knew it was so popular.
Even Hollywood Studios - tons was coming up for me now, where it hasn't been the past few days.
Did they just release more tables or something?

So those going that first week of free dining.... hurry, go check out online and see if you can get lucky with what you may be looking for!
 
I'm a dork too... I cannot go to sleep knowing that a whole new world of Disney dining reservations will open up in just 2 hours! popcorn::

Haha, that's crazy!

I too can't wait. I actually took a nap but I am up and ready to go! I think I might take a shower just to past the time... idk but it's like the longest wait ever!
 
I logged on this morning with my daughter to make her ressies and we can't do the 90 + 10. We didn't use a TA. Anyone else having this issue this morning?
 
Well, it's 3:11 PST here:surfweb: and I've spent the last few hours up waiting in the off chance that they would have fixed the TA problem. However, it looks as if it is a no go.:sad1:
Guess I'm up for another 45 minutes of waiting until I can make ADRs with the masses over the phone.:coffee:
I feel like a second class citizen, and all because I wanted the "convenience" of knowing that someone with more travel knowledge than me could arrange all the details! :mad:
