Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

For the person who asked about DDP and CRT ressies and paying the full amount: I don't think that's right. Others have reported having to enter their cc# to reserver, but it states that $0.00 will be charged to your cc#. So if it said the full amount, you might want to call and check into it.

The cc# should only be there for if you don't show up.

You are only charged $0.00 when you have the DDP tied in with your reservation. The system assumes that you're using credits to pay for that meal. The CC is still taken in case they need to charge for 'no shows'.

If you don't have a DDP tied in with your reservation, then you'll be charged the full amount for CRT at the time of booking.

anyone know what time the online booking system opens the 90 day window? The system seems to be a 24 hour operation so once the clock turns midnight on the 90 day window does it therefore let you book? If so thats 7 hours before the telephone booking system.

anyone know if thats the case?

sorry - just read page 1 - ignore this post!

We have 4 adults and six kids (two 4 year olds, one three year old, one 2 year old and two infants)...can we book our ressies on-line or do we have to call in?

I am really hoping we can book online at 6:01 and not have to wait until 7:00 because we are trying for a CRT lunch and a CM dinner amoung others.

Also can Fantasmic Dinner package be booked on-line yet?

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for posting about the new online booking system. I was able to get on this morning and get all of the restaurants we wanted and very good times as well. Had it not been for this post, I don't think I would have had such an easy time. 90 days to our trip!:yay:

Fantasmic, Bibbidi Boutiqe, any kids activites or any other special venue like this cannot be booked online. You have to call in.

As long as your part is not OVER 10 people you can book online.
See page 1 of this thread for more information.

I am hoping to make ADRs on-line tomorrow AM. We are staying at YC 4 days and then Poly 3 days. Does anyone know if I can make ADR's for the second part of the trip as it will not be 90 days from the 2nd check in date?:hippie:

That I love the new online ADR system! I was able to get Chef Mickey's for breakfast for next week at 8:30am instead of my 7:20am. I love that you can book and cancel ressies all on line! It's AWESOME!!!

You won't be able to online as it will only show the dates of your resort reservation stay. You may be able to make them on the phone just don't mention to the cm that you have a split stay or they will tell you that you cannot make them. Just use your first resort reservation number and ask for the dates you prefer. Some cm's check the dates and may tell you that you can't do them past the check out date of your first resort but it is worth a phone call to try

Can you only pull up your reservations one at a time??? I have been messing with the system a little just to see and when I go to find the ADR's I made (I cancel them ASAP) I have to put each and every confirmation number one at a time. Is this different if it's attached to resort number? If it's a resort number can you pull up all of them at one time??

There's a commonality here that most people are unwilling or unable to admit. There is no technical reason why some people (DVC and TA guests aside) should be able to reserve their 90+10 and others cannot. Those who cannot either originally booked under the old CRO system and/or are punching in the wrong phone number associated with the reservation, or they are not logged in when they go to make their ADR reservations, which is why the system doesn't recognize their resort reservation. I realize no one will admit to this, and everyone will say the information input on their end is 100% accurate, but computer systems (including Disney's, yes I know) don't have glitches that way. If it didn't work for some people, it shouldn't work for all people, and vice versa.

In any event, for every person who has had a problem booking 90+10, I have heard of equally as many success stories. Maybe those who are having trouble gave the incorrect info when they originally booked their resort reservations, or maybe they are inputting the information incorrectly now. Either way, the info has to match on both ends and it's not. My belief is it has something to do with your phone number. That seems to be the consensus amongst all complaints.

I am not happy with the timing of online booking coming live. We will be on the road on our ADR day and will have to call them in at 7:00 AM giving all early birds an extra hour to make their ADRs.

I personally think that they should use the same time for everyone to make ADRs no matter what method they use.

I am sorry you feel that way but as the old saying goes you cannot please all of the people all of the time.

If you weren't on the road I am sure you would feel differently about it.

So I got up this morning to book my 90 day ADR's. I did put all 5 of them in my cart. I didn't get exactly what I wanted, but I was happy enough with them. I "Check out" and then it says "Sorry page cannot load. We're having technical difficulties". UGH. So I get a WDW Dining Reservations Email with NOTHING in it. I call Disney Dining Res. and the lady says she can't find my reservations (she looked up just one) and that they may take an hour to come up, but also it could have not worked at all.

So I start re-booking things and I got everything I wanted this time for some reason. I decided to check them out individually. I got conf. Emails for each one and the emails all opened up just fine and had the res. in them. The other Email I recieved is still BLANK so I can't see my res. #'s or even know if they exist because of this stupid online mess up!!!

I'm so afraid of them deleting all of my reservations because of this but there's no way for me to find out my res. #'s for the first set I booked. What can I do??! HELP!

Jennifer

For those who had their TA make ADRs, were you able to look them up online after and cancel them?
Assuming the TA problem isn't fixed in the next couple days when I make ADRs, I don't want to make my TA go through the work of booking them and also canceling them later if I need to make changes...

We had the same problem.

I thought it was alright because I didn't receive an e-mail for the first batch that was lost, but I just looked in my junk file and found an e-mail for the time that the site went down. The e-mail is blank but I am concerned about duplicates as well, (the first set of times is better so I will keep them if they went through).

I am about to call Disney and get them to go through my ADR's.

If you attached the original ADRs to your resort reservation, they should show up there if they do at all. I would call Disney Dining again after the hour is up and see if they have shown up. If they haven't, I would explain to the CM what happened and ask what will happen if the original ressies show up eventually.

Just posted on another thread about this.

Same thing happened to me and DD.

Mine never did show up.

I had to call and have my ressies and DD's all done over the phone.

CM was so helpful!!:flower3:

Luckily we still got everything we wanted . :woohoo:

Guess all our original ressies are floating in cyberspace somewhere!!:confused3

I'm on the phone with a CM right now and she has me on hold. She CLAIMS she cannot look up my dining ressies from my resort reservation #, even though I did hook them to it.
