One-way ME - Only Return to MCO

We are driving in from FLL after a cruise so I won't use ME arriving to Disney, however, I would like to use it on the return to MCO airport.

Q1 - Do I need to book this now? Or just wait until I arrive and let them know?

Q2 - Can I return a car from a resort? Maybe have them pick it up??

A1.) I would book it now, just to be safe.

A2.) Some of the rental companies have shuttle service from resort to the Customer Care Centre. A couple of resorts have rental desks in them, so you could use WDW transportation.

Typically, you would return the car at the rental car company's closest location, and then take a courtesy shuttle to you resort.

For example, Hertz has a Kissimmee/Walt Disney World location on Hwy 192. National/Alamo is on-site at the WDW Car Care Center.

You could use your car to check in and to drop the rest of your party at your resort. Then only one of you would have to return the car and take the shuttle.

You might also want to consider keeping your car for 24 hours (because, with most companies, you pay by the 24-hour day, not be the calendar day). That way, you'll have a car for any off-site shopping or dining the first evening.
