This just popped up again and I just wanted to let everyone know, that my trip is already over  Dining review will start shortly!!

I really need your help!! A little info beforehand: we are two ladies in their mid-thirties, we have been to WDW three times so far, now we are going again, staying at the Poly. We have a few favourite restaurants but also want to exerience new ones. We really like unique dining experiences, but being European, American food is unique for us. :goodvibes Now we have a list of restaurants, but we aren't staying long enough for all of them. Which one would you drop?

The list of restaurants is:

Boma (our absolute favourite)
Kona Cafe (repeat visit)
Ohana (repeat visit)
California Grill (repeat visit)
Whispering Canyon Cafe (repeat visit)
Flying Fish (new)
Spoodles (new)

Oh and just so that no one thinks we have duplicate ADRs: we have ADRs for most of them, but I am thinking about changing them... :rolleyes1

I've only been to Kona for breakfast so not sure about that one, but we weren't thrilled with Ohana. Maybe because it was our travel day and everyone was tired and overwhelmed . I vote for skipping Ohana.

I would skip Ohana. We tend to go every year and it was very disappointing this time. Since you have already been there as well, it may be a good one to drop to try something new.

Since Ohana is a repeat visit for you it sounds like you enjoy it there. We haven't tried Whispering Canyon yet, but we're two adults and based on discussion here on the Dis I'd probably drop Whispering Canyon. The only thing that you might want to consider is that Whispering Canyon has "American" (western style) food. Enjoy your trip!

I also would drop Ohana's if you're going for dinner. I'm always disappointed with the grilled meats.

Also, we didn't have a good experience at Flying Fish our last visit. It may have just been an off-night. Our service was terrible and the food was good, but not as great as it should have been given the reviews.

Enjoy your visit!

I would try one of your repeats for a different meal time. Like Kona, Boma or Ohana for breakfast! Or I would drop a repeat and keep a new one. Since you've been to the repeats, I think I would go with your least favorite.

We love O'Hana. Breakfast or Dinner. We were just there and everything was great. O'Hana was actually the hardest restaurant for us to get into. It was booked solid. We got any other restaurant, including CHef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fair and many others last minute. I would drop Whispering Canyon from your list.

I would drop Whispering Canyon....the rest are fantastic!

Whispering Canyon Cafe -- most disappointing and overrated meal of our trip last September--we won't go back for dinner (we may try breakfast in a few years)

Personally, I would drop either WCC or Boma. But since Boma is your favorite then I would drop WCC.

Mrs. Disney Ron

I would drop Ohana or Kona. Ohana tends to change their menus and take things off rather than put on. Last time we were at Kona, the service was soooo slow and the server not very attentive. Food was fine, but dining in either of these places can be very noisy.

Why dont you leave them, you may change your mind last minute and wish you hadn't...that happened to us for brown derby!

Thanks for all the input! I was tending to either drop WCC or Ohana. We actually really like the food at WCC. The skillet is something you simply cannot get in Germany. I am aware that it might not be the best barbecue...

Unfortunately we can't, we are there one evening less than the number of restaurants. :goodvibes

Reading down the post my thoughts were WCC or Ohana, so it was interesting to get down to your post...

I'd have to vote to drop O'Hana. Our family enjoys it, but if you've been there before I would try something else.

I'd drop Ohana especially since you are going to Kona which is in the Poly and has better food.
