DH and I are going on a cruise the end of this month and will have one day in Orlando post-cruise. We are having Enterprise pick us up at the port so we will be on our way by about 11 a.m.

If you had from 11 a.m. on in Orlando (flight the next morning), what would you do? I know a lot of you will say Disney (these are, after all, the Disboards!). That is DEFINITELY an option, but I'm also looking for other ideas! pirate:

Thanks!!

Yes my first choice would be spending it at MK. But if you are exhausted from the week of vacation activities already I think my other choice would be to hang out at DTD and have a nice relaxing fairwell meal at one of the monorail resorts.

Since it is just the two of you I would head to Epcot, enjoy the World Showcase, a nice dinner at one of the fabulous restaraunts there and enjoy Illuminations.

If you want to stay away from the theme parks (and paying parking), go to DTD for the day....Citywalk for the day (though during the daytime you have to pay for parking)...the Orlando Premium Outlets....

Personally, I'd do something I don't do while at WDW because I feel I'm wasting my WDW time or don't have a rental car-IOA, Citywalk, Outlets.

Probably the Magic Kingdom although if it was just DH and I we might spend the day at Epcot.

I'd be heading on over to the "flee markets" some are outdoors (hot I know, but still fun) and then that wallmart in kissamee is fun , then for the evening I'd go over to the DTD for a boatride and a snack at the Dixielandings.

Actually that sounds like a great fun day to me ,,,, WISH I was there right now !!!

How about booking a single night at one of the deluxe resorts that you've always wanted to stay at? Maybe even concierge level? You wouldn't have to even go into the parks, just explore the resort, enjoy the pool and and a nice dinner at one of the resort restaurants or in DtD.

Cirque? or Epcot?
If not just strolling arond DTD, short trips to Mt Dora or Winter Springs (I always wanted to do this).

Good luck!

How about going to Kennedy Space Center? Or an Airboat Tour? Or Lunch at a CoCo Beach Restaurant?

:lmao: Some people call this place Wally World. :rotfl:

I can easily spend an entire day at Epcot. Ride the rides, eat some good food in the world showcase, watch some shows, and shop the shops.

I did NOT say spend the Whole day a walmart !!!

And the op did ask for other ways to spend a day in ORlando besides
going to Disney ...

and YES I have done a day just like I suggested ...

we went to the flee marts ,,, around 4 of them , then we did stop at
walmart to pick up some sun lotion and bought a few trinkets ,,
then we did go to dtd for the stores, boatride , and had dinner at Dixie Landings.

All 5 of us "thought" we had a very fun day.

So, Seriously I think you're remark was uncalled for !!!!!!!!!

I would have to spend it at Disney. I am weird that way! I think I would probably go to Epcot for the day, or maybe MK. :thumbsup2

I second the post about picking a resort you would love to visit, spend the day exploring it and downtown. Not buying tickets to the park saves you alot of dollars that could be put towards the night stay.
