What would you do?

I'm going to be at a conference in Newport Beach with a co-worker. We have one free day and want to go to Disneyland. I've been to WDW quite a few times and feel comfortable there but I've only been to Disneyland once, and that was 30 years ago. We will be able to have a full day there.

I'd welcome any advice about maximizing our time. Is it practical to buy the park hopper for one day or should we just pick either Disneyland or California Adventure?

We'll be there on Tuesday, March 27th. Any thoughts on the date?

Help please! TIA :)

I would probably get the park hopper and focus on things different from WDW.

World of Color might be an option but it takes so much time in line waiting to get a good viewing spot I think it would be better to skip it.

This thread might help:

I'll be at one of the park that day too. Thinking DCA but it depends on whether my family in San Diego wants to join us that day or the next. Ds and I are at DLR for 3 days. (before and after in San Diego)

Here is a link that talks about attractions that are unique to DL and other info

IMHO If the new Cars Land was going to be open I would say do a hopper but it won't be open until summer. Personally I would just do DL.

I would parkhop. That's spring break; it will be crowded w/ long hours. I would probably do DL in the morning (gather FPs), hop to CA, then hop back to DL that evening and use my FPs. CA always seems less crowded than DL, so it's great for the busy part of the day.

Thanks for all your help. I'm going to look at the other threads. Right now, I'm leaning toward the one-day park hopper but we'll see.
