One big (blended) happy (sometimes) family PreTrip June 09 *new updates* pg 8 6/11

Okay, no Disney trip planning updates ... I'm trying to wait patiently (NOT) for my ADR window to open... in the meantime .. why not plan my wedding :)

Okay - Date 9/5 - Check
Location - I HAVE NO IDEA!!!!!
Officiant - An aquantince of mine who is a pastor at a local church, we don't attend it b/c its on the OTHER side of town but we went today and Steve got to hear him preach and liked him and... CHECK Pastor Scott will marry us.
Photographer - appt next Monday with one
Florist - appt this Saturday with one
Dress - 2 appts next Saturday when my mom is in town
That's like IT right! :) YAY

After wedding dinner -CHECK my mom is doing all that - worries for me :)

Honeymoon - We decided to go to Cabo for a week. Steve's dad needs to book it b/c we're using their Hilton Grand Vacation points to stay at Fiesta Americana. Once he books the hotel I can book the airfare.

Sounds great! Would you think about getting married outside? September is so nice weatherwise..on a beach or something? Sounds like you've got things covered, how about invitations, favors, rings? Would love to see pics of things when you have them!! Dress shopping will be SO much fun! Do you have any styles in mind? As a little girls I always wanted to wear my Mom's dress when I got married, which was her Aunt's dress, I did and loved it but now 9 years later, wish I went dress "shopping" just for the fun of it.....sounds like so much fun!!!:cutie:

You have A LOT going on!! You must have a million lists!! Thanks for sharing!!!:goodvibes

Well.. since you ASKED - LOL
We are thinking about getting married in a park that is up against the Manatee River. Afterwards, we'll be having dinner with our families at a restaurant on the River, so we are talking to them to see if we can use the dining room "in case of rain" IT IS FL in SEPT ya know. LOL

I've been shopping once for gowns and my favorite is:
This: http://www.davidsbridal.com/webapp/...alogId=10051&storeId=10052&catentryId=1000224
And This:
http://www.davidsbridal.com/webapp/...999486|-49998998|-49998994&catentryId=1000204
Now - I'm a size 16 there abouts so they LOOK WAY different on me, esp the 2nd one.. ick, it does not look good on her at all.

But I am very TORN on those two and David's is the only place I've been. So when my mom comes down from SC on the 20th, we're going to go to another dress shop in the AM and David's in the afternoon.

I'm not sure yet for the girls. I want Catherine in a Jr. Bridesmaid as she is a little grown up for a flower girl dress, then Emma will be in a flower girl dress that coordinates with Cat & I. FMIL wants her to wear a white lace dress she has for her but 1) White does not go with ivory 2) Lace does not go with chiffon OR satin.

Flowers: Since my bridal party consists of a 4 and 8 yr old. I want it to be easy on them, esp since Catherine will have to hold my flowers at one point.
So I was thinking something like this:
http://www.weddingsitaly.com/flowers/wedding-bouquets/ball/z3.htm
That way it can hang from their wrists and they wont be likely to drop them. :)

Colors: I'm thinking a deep orange -> Coral sort of color. I love the fall colors. We'll see.

:) Okay that's all the wedding talk for now. I want to go plan DISNEY!!!! :)

I love the David's Bridal dress; do you have pics of you in the dresses? I'd love to see them!

We did pomander balls (the flower balls) for our junior bridesmaids; they were a big hit - easy to carry and gorgeous!

We did fall/sunset colors, if you want to check out the few wedding pics I have in my pre-trippie!

Thank you Heather you are awesome! I will definetly check them out when I get home. (dont' want to get in trouble at work)

I'm having wedding anxiety. DF goes back to work (he's been off for 5 wks) Monday. This was our last week to do final planning and make a decision on where we're going to get married. The plan was to do it all after work since we have more sunlight. HE HAS THE FLU!!!! So we have gotten nothing done. Once he's back to work he's 7days a week / 12 hrs a day for the next 4 months! I pouted big time about it today and told him I'd just send him an invite so he knew where to show up. Honestly, I think I'll just plan that part myself and he'll have to deal with it. (very annoyed - can you tell?) LOL

And yes, I have pics of me in the dress. I'm horrible at linking pics here, but when I get home, on my laptop I'll do my best :)

Thanks for sharing!!!:goodvibes LOVE the dresses you picked out, they are so pretty!!! Would love to see you in them.

The flowers you picked out for the girls are perfect, they are so neat!! I got married almost 9 years ago and don't remember seeing that style before....they are gorgeous and nice for younger girls to hold onto.

I'm with you about the Fall colors, too, we got married 9/23 and I wore and ivory dress and the girls wore burgandy. The deep orange color sounds so nice for an (almost!) Fall wedding!!

And your back up plan for the outdoor wedding is a good idea..September is a tough time of year to plan an outdoor wedding....we were married in a church but I was worried since I wanted all my wedding professional pics taken outdoors and on the beach, we didn't have a back up plan (other than the church and dinner place!) and thankfully, didn't need one! We had the most beautiful day...sunny, slight breeze and 65...just perfect in New England the end of September!! I couldnt' have ordered a better day!!:cloud9:

Thanks again for sharing!!! Keep us posted on things!!:goodvibes

Alright, we are not doing a dining plan - I have to charm enough to get Steve to let me plan as much as I HAVE, if I tried to plan every meal... he'd kick my butt!

So I have a small list of desired ADRs, but its a list I'd like to accomplish. We arrive 6/20 and I had no ADRs planned for this day. Its a chill at the resort, swim and get to bed early (for the 1 night of the trip) night.
90 days previos to 6/20 is 3/22 - A SUNDAY

Now since our 1st ADR is not until 6/21 90 days previous to that is 3/23 - A MONDAY.

I usually get to work at 7:30 which would put me in the car driving at the time that Dining opened Monday. SO I called and talked to 2 different CMs. 90 days + 10 starts on your Resort CHECKIN Date, not the date of your 1st ADR. :) YAY!

This has me doing kartwheels. Now I have the drive to get a little more organized and make my ADR Checklist for when I call. I will definetly be setting my alarm for that Sunday morning.

Quick ADR Explaination: 90 days previous to check in date you can make reservations for your check-in date + 10 days. So you can call and make all trip ressies in one call, not have to call each day for the day 90 days away. Does that help?
:scared1:
Okay.. NOW I"M FREAKING OUT

#1 - Steve does not go back to work until 3/23 so we CAN get wedding planning done YAY!

#2 - sit down - I SIGNED UP FOR DDP! OMG! I know I said I would never do it, but I DID! I sat down tonight with our ADR plan and the menus and budgeted out our dining expenses... WAY too much. SO I priced out DDP and OMG - HUGE savings. So - I called WDW. Yes, I called them. The very nice CM told me all about the different options, I like PLUS the best. Then she priced it out for our trip - how cool! So I did it, I added DDP. I think I might faint now.

#3 - not fainting yet... wait, still to come. Remember back a few posts, that I'm not super excited about staying at ASMo. I've just heard too many negatives lately, and I cannot keep them from bothering me - I have tried. With 4/3 I felt like we had more room to stay nicer and a MOD would be nice, but everytime I call.. none were avail. Well folks ---- we moved to POFQ. I asked, she checked, she listed the avail.. POFQ as one of them! I'm stoked the kids will LOVE the slide and as we're there in June and plan a lot of POOL time, I am very excited about the move.

Okay.. I can breath now. Wait, no I cannot. I have to go make sure I make the most out of DDP. Oh Steve will kill me, although he agreed to adding DDP ;)

I'm waiting on dress pics!

We stayed at POFQ on our honeymoon and it was wonderful! Make sure to try the beignets in the food court; wonderful fried, powder-sugar goodness!!!

Let us know what ADRs you're thinking about!

Thank you for the input. I will talk to Steve when I get home about that. Also trying to space out early wake-ups. Oh this juggling is SO hard! It was so easy to plan for just DD and I. Now ... 5 people. yikes!

Ok, I have to say that I adore dress number 2 on you! I think that's the one!

Thank you Heather for all your feedback! Now can you help me find cute coordinating Jr Bridesmaid/Flowergirl dresses in PLUM? LOL

Of course - yes please on suggestions for ADRs! I like to balance out the things for the girls and the things for Jack. But there aren't a lot of options for Jack.

Hi all!!! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

I've spent today watching WeTV and the wedding marathon. I just watched a wedding at WDW. LOVED IT!!!!

TRIP UPDATE!!! Steve's folks stopped by to say HI. The joy of having them live only 5 miles away! LOL

We were going through calendars to see their travel plans for the next few months (they watch the kids in the AM and take them to school when Steve is working so their schedule affects us). Anyway... we were going through the calendar and she saw DISNEY on our calendar. So.. she asked about it and... we ended up inviting them to have dinner with us 6/21 at Ohana. It's Father's Day and I thought it'd be nice to invite his parents. *shrug*

We love them, we do... MIL just can drive us nuts. FIL is awesome! lol

Just 5 more days til I can call for ADRs.. OMG I'm so nervous!!!

I think so far the ADR list is staying the same.. not many updates. I'll be manic over it this weekend I am sure.

SO heather, last night I was flipping through a magazine and showed DFH a pic of a similar dress to dress #1, and he kind of wrinkled his nose at it.. GOOD TO KNOW!! LOL

The majority love #2 also.
