One became SEVEN?!? How did THAT happen? 4/24 UPDATE

Tracy, is this the same plane I am seeing video of on facebook feeds about it's painting? I hope you get so lucky as to fly on it. Or at the very least to see it in person!

Continued prayers for Emile. Sorry you missed the cookie bake. Hope your weather is doing better.

Oh my, I am proud of Lisa, she is super special, there is no denying that. She is full of talent, beauty and determination. I am thankful Lisa is improving, I am sorry she has to miss out on so much that she loves.

I am proud of Rachel as well, I hope the dog visits go well this week and all of the many things you need/want to do go smoothly. You are so kind to give of yourselves to others, it is one of the many things I love about all of your family. :goodvibes

Tracy, you have to watch this Westjet Video. How amazing would that be?!? What would you ask for?

My prayers continue, especially for Lisa.

Lisa IS better. We do have a long way to go, she is not back to "her" normal. So much is going on here I barely have time to sleep. Rachel and I have two school visits with Bandit this week (all morning affairs). Lisa loves these visits; however, is not able to do everything, so she will miss out on them. Thank Heavens Christian can stay with her while we are out. We ARE trying to let her keep to her schedule as much as possible, it upsets her when she has to miss out of things she loves, which makes things even harder sometimes.

Lisa and Rachel had mid-point sharings at Theater last night...at the same time. I went to Lisas with David and Pete went to Rachels with Christian. Lisa won the Theater of Excellence award in her class! Her teacher said she had NEVER had a harder working student who took their craft so seriously. In the spring the Theater puts on 4 intensive plays and she will be allowed to register a week before the parts are opened up to the general public. The Onstage production is a HUGE deal, the teacher told us last night there will only be 200 spots for these shows and typically they turn away at least three hundred applicants. Being allowed to register early guarantees Lisa a spot in the shows. Tuition is $150, which is quite a lot for us, so we shall see. The time commitment is also daunting, we will have to wait and see how things progress to know if this is something we can allow Lisa to be a part of. I am just incredibly proud of her! To be chosen out of her class, with all she has been through, brought happy tears to my eyes.

I genuinely appreciate those of you who have left us messages of support, even those who have just returned from Vacation. Your prayers have helped TREMENDOUSLY! I am seeing glimpses of my Lisa, even if she is still not well. I can't believe how ill she has been, it has hurt me deeply to see her so sick. Words escape me and you know that isn't easy to do...

I AM praying for all who have asked!!! Krystal,:hug::hug:
Glad Lisa is slowly getting better, hope she is back to her self soon!
How wounderful that she won the excellence award! Way to go Lisa!
Hope you have a good rest of your busy week!!

That plane looks so cool! Wouldn't it be wonderful if you got to fly on it?!?!
It would be super fun to fly on, I am not trying to get my hopes up though, because I'm flying down from a smaller airport. I fly back through Toronto though, so I think that would be my best chance of being on it.

Judy, we just got back from Florida/Disney yesterday, and I read that Lisa has not been well. I just wanted to add my prayers along with all of the others praying.

Tracy, Emile is looking better and hope that sweet baby is home soon.
Hope you had a great trip!
Thanks, I hope he will be home soon. He is at 4lbs 10oz!

Tracy, hope you get to fly on that plane to Orlando! How fun would that be to get you in the mood for Disney!
It would be a great way to get in the mood! It looks so neat but I don't really know my chances, of actually ending up on that one plane :confused3

I think it is the same one, there is a YouTube video about it's painting and revealing. WestJet are the masters of marketing and them partnering with Disney is smart. I would love to be able to see the plane in person!!

Thank you for your prayers for Emile, he is up to 4lbs 10oz :cloud9:
The wind and snow has stopped now it's just cold, but that is better than blowing!

Tracy, you have to watch this Westjet Video. How amazing would that be?!? What would you ask for?
Ah, that is amazing. WestJet really comes up with some great ideas! Gee, I wonder what I would ask for. I'm afraid I wouldn't take it seriously, I'd be like the guy that asked for socks :rotfl2:

Glad to hear that Lisa is doing better. I hope she continues on the road to recovery.

Great Job Lisa!!! That's awesome that she'll get to register and is basically guaranteed a spot. Things will work out if it's meant to be.

Happy to hear that Rachel also did a great job!! They both have amazing talent. Glad you guys are able to do the school visits with Bandit.

I am so happy to hear Lisa is improving!!!! many prayers continue. I am also happy to hear Rachel is doing well also. Have fun with Bandit today!!!!

Congratulations to Lisa for winning that award. I am glad to hear that she is doing better, hopefully she will be back to her normal soon.

Thoughts and Prayers to all that need them.

Judy,

Thank God Lisa is feeling better! How exciting for her to have won that award! It's so exciting to get recognized for something that you enjoy and work hard at.

Thoughts and prayers to all.

SO happy to hear that Lisa is feeling better and congratulations to her for her excellence award! What a tremendous honor. I hope she gets to be in the show...if it's meant to be God will provide and if not an even better opportunity will come her way, I believe that :)

Tracy, I hope you get to fly on that Mickey plane!! That would be so fun. Southwest has a SeaWorld one with penguins that I have been hoping to get on my last few flights to Orlando but no luck.

Finals are here and they are brutal but I get to go home Saturday for five weeks so I am keeping my eyes on the prize!!

It seems I spoke to soon on Lisa's improvement, she had a little set back Wednesday while Rachel and I were at the school with Bandit. Christian was in the middle of a phone interview and David had just finished his laundry and came down to find Lisa in tears. As he put it, he did his best with his limited ability and knowledge. I was proud of him, he did a great job of just being there for her. She did make it to ballet and seemed fine when Rachel and I got home at 9:30 last night; however, she was back up at midnight, c/o a sore throat. I gave her some Tylenol and water, snuggled her for over an hour, then put her to bed...and I just put her back to bed at 4 am, she felt a bit warm. Please keep the prayers coming. I don't need/want "normal" illness on top of "Lisa" illness stuff!

Rachel had an amazing experience at her Veterinarian Explorers post Wednesday night. They were observing a dog being spayed and they asked who wanted to scrub in...Rachel volunteered, along with most of the post. They put their names in a hat and Rachel was chosen along with another girl. When I picked Rachel and her friend up they were so excited and animated...as they put it, the entire post bonded over surgery. Rachel was allowed to cut and remove one of the ovaries...she said it made her feel very close to me to have scrubbed in and was thinking of me and Lisa the entire time (I was an OR nurse, among my varied nursing career experiences and Lisa has been through so much).

Claiming today to be a better one. I canceled Lisa's testing today, due to her set back yesterday and in view of the fact she was up half the night, that seems to have been a great call. Now we only have two MD appts and Rachel has School of Rock. The only bad thing is we had to push Lisa's tests off for a bit longer. MANY THANKS for your concern, messages of support and prayer!

:hug:s for you and Lisa. Keeping sweet Lisa is prayer that she'll keep improving and that she won't get anything else during her time of healing.

What a fantastic experience that Rachel got from being picked to be an assistant for the vet during a spaying! Never knew that the scouts had these different types of sub groups for the children except when you had David in them. The Veterinarian Explorers group sounds like a nice fit for Rachel with her love of animals.

Your trip will be here in a month. Praying and claiming that everyone will be well to enjoy it and to spend some time with Tracy.

Prayers for all who asked!

Judy, I am sorry to hear that Lisa is still on the mend. Continuing to pray that she gets better soon. As you said, she certainly doesn't need any of the "normal" illnesses on top of what she already has to deal with on a daily basis.

How neat that Rachel got to participate in the spaying surgery. You may have a vet in your household one day.

Continued prayers for sweet Lisa to feel much better soon. I am so thrilled for her to have gotten chosen for the award and being able to have a guaranteed part in the upcoming play - we'll pray that it all works out for her, what a wonderful opportunity! Sounds like Rachel had a fantastic experience at the vet, how great that they let her participate in the surgery like that. You may just have a full-fledged vet on your hands in just a few years!

Crazy, crazy here; still having issues with insurance over the car repair, Ezra having some behavior problems at school again (hopefully temporary due to holiday excitement, etc.), friend diagnosed Friday with cancer and she is losing her insurance end of the year but can't afford Obamacare and doesn't qualify for stipend, the list goes on and on. I remind myself that we are so fortunate to have one another, especially this time of year and am trying to focus on the reason for the season instead of getting caught up in all the "extras". Benjamin's holiday concert is tonight at school. He is so nervous about it but I know he will do great, he's been practicing so much he has his part down solid...AND he got bumped up to first-chair trumpet in the middle-school band even though he's only been playing since September, I am SO proud of him and his hard work. I think he has found a niche for himself with music, it is so good for a non-competitive, non-athletic and not very social child to have an outlet like that. I am hoping next year finances will ease up a bit and we can afford lessons for him outside of his band class.

Lisa woke up with a wicked sore throat, calf pain and a stuffy nose, poor sweetie. We leave for the MD in 10 minutes. We spent the morning making Christmas ornaments, instead of "real" school work and watched The Little Drummer Boy. Thank goodness I homeschool!

Prayers for all continue!!

Belt it out Rachel! You can tell from the picture that she is really getting into the song.

Give Lisa a big hug from me and let her know that I'm praying that she feels better soon.

Way to go, Rachel! That is just awesome!

I'm sorry Lisa has had a setback and my prayers continue.

How fun! Great picture!

I'm so sorry to hear that Lisa has a sore throat. I hope she feels better soon and it does't throw her lab values off. Does she need an antibiotic?

Judy
All caught up,
I hope Lisa is doing better soon. I am presently home with a sick puking V.

Your trip is coming up so soon that's so exciting!

How is Rachel doing?

Continued prayers for Lisa. Hope she gets on the mend and soon.

Great picture Rachel!!! That's great!!
