I know, he looks huge from when he was first bornYeah Emile!! Looks like he's getting so big too from the first pictures you've posted. Continued prayers!!
Thank you for your prayers, we really appreciate them. There is hope he will be home for Christmas.Tracy, Thank you for the update and picture of Emile! Love the gown he's wearing and seeing how much bigger he's gotten. He and his family are in my prayers and pray that he gets to go home very soon!
Judy so glad you checked in. Praying that Lisa improvesThank you for those of you who continue to let me know you are praying. I BELIEVE prayer helps, God hears them all.
Lisa appears slightly better; however, we have a long way to go. This is but one problem that faces her daily journey. Her labs were extremely low at the hematology clinic yesterday and the appt took twice as long as it should. Everything is a time drain and while I love Christmas as much as anybody, productivity and good sense seem to go out the window the day after Thanksgiving. Medical problems do not take a vacation, unfortunately. It is a mental, physical and emotional drain when you have to follow-up everyones every move they make concerning your child...once again though I thank God for giving me the heart to be a nurse, I have no idea how I would navigate this journey otherwise, it is constant vigilance and questioning...and sometimes Mama bear roaring, that gets the answers. It shouldn't be this hard, but it is. The sheer volume of the variety of needs makes it exhausting at times.
Gail, Thank you for your call yesterday afternoon, that helped me more than you know.It was God's timing, because I had just had time to finish my breakfast/lunch at 2 PM, before we dashed back out 45 minutes later.
My prayers continue for all of you who have asked. My days aren't often easy; however, the load is lightened by caring folks. Thank you.
TRACY, Emile looks beautiful! We had to be very creative in the "clothes" Lisa wore with all of her tubes/wires...I found "armholed" bibs that worked and his little gown reminds me of that! Lisa had a Tinkerbelle one and a Cinderella one...Praying he continues to get stronger and is soon ready for his car seat challenge...that REALLY brings back memories! Lisa had to be able to fly from Philly to Charlotte. Even with all we are going through right now, I am grateful for how far we have come. Thank you for the reminder.
God choose the right mom for Lisa. He knew that she was in good hands and still is. She is blessed to have you as her mom and we are blessed for knowing Lisa and the family because of you Judy. Thank you for sharing the struggles and victories of your family with us.
I know, he looks huge from when he was first born
The prayers are appreciated.
