Once Upon A Time

I find it interesting that the power of "please" is only used when you want Regina to shut up. :lmao:

Well I'm happy that we now know for sure that Mr. Gold knows that he is Rumple. I think the EQ is still the only one that knows the whole truth because she knows that Belle is still alive bit Rumple doesn't and I think that will play a big part at some point.

I don't think Regina/EQ knows everything - she must not know Emma's true identity as Snow & Charming's daughter. True, she's not very nice to Emma, but that's just because she doesn't want Emma taking Henry away from her. If Regina/EQ knew that Emma was Snow & Chaming's daughter, she'd be treating Emma a WHOLE lot worse.

What *we* now know is that both Regina/EQ and Gold/Rumpel know about the curse and who everybody really is in Storebrooke; and each one knows at least one thing that the other doesn't: Rumpel knows Emma's true identity (and Regina doesn't), and Regina knows that Belle is alive (and Rumpel doesn't).

I don't understand why Regina didn't know that Gold was Rumplestilskin. Doesn't she know who everyone else is?

Oh, Regina knew Gold was Rumpel all along. Perhaps she wasn't positive that he knew about the curse, and asking his true name was her way of finding out for sure. Plus, Rumpel seems to gain some "power" or something by knowing people's names, so by forcing Rumpel to tell her his name, Regina/EQ was trying to show she had some power over him.

Well we got the answer on how the dark curse will be broken - it will be with a kiss - as stated by the EQ during tonight's episode "Every curse can be broken with true loves kiss". So the big mystery is - who will Emma fall in love with that will be then one that helps her break the curse. Emma is not one to fall in love easily so this will be an interesting unveiling

It was also great to see the reference to Chip from the Disney version of beauty and the beast.

And it looks like its gonna be an all out war now that Regina knows that Gold is Rumple.

I gotta say I loved this episode!

Incredible episode. I laughed out loud with the chipped cup. Laughed even harder when Gaston came to Rumple's place for the challenge and how that ended.

As for the curse breaking "true love's kiss" I don't think it will be either EQ or Emma that will having the all important smooch. I think it is 1 of 2 options.

It's either:

1) Snow and PC. I know, I know... they've had their smooches. But they were never true. They were always with a hint of guilt about what they were doing.

or

2) Rumple and Belle. Why else would EQ keep her in a NORAD style psycho ward if not to keep her from him? And since the curse was originally his creation, her true love has already shown to return his humantiy and remove his power.

Anyone have any guesses as to who the girl in the hallway was/is and what role she'll play? The one holding the mop whom Regina passed while going to see Belle. They focused on her just a little too long and she was just a little too out of place to be a random person. (I think it was a woman - I was a little distracted and didn't look closely enough).

And did anyone notice the clerk in the store where PC bought his cards, sneezed?

I thought that was a man!?!:confused3 I recorded the show and had just turned it on double checking that I got it when that scene happened...so no idea on anything else, but I did think it was a guy and wondering who it was.

Noticed a few funny references.

When Rumple is yelling into the mirror, the tapestry that is reflected has a unicorn lying inside a fence. That tapestry is in Harry Potter (its actually in the queue for WWOHP at Universal).

Also the flower van is named Game of Thorn's (Game of Thrones)

And finally when the EQ is confronting Rumple at the end, isn't that MIckey's sorcerer hat behind the EQ?

Geez, this whole show is an easter egg.

I didn't see the episode yet, recorded it, but my DS was watching and he saw the Sorcerers hat :thumbsup2

And did anyone notice the clerk in the store where PC bought his cards, sneezed?

Yes! He was on before, though.

The episode when the kids stole some stuff...Hansel and Gretel.

I do not see MIckey's sorcerer hat behind EQ/Regina.
I did see a BIG blue flag standing behind her when she walks over and it does kind of look like it but it isn't.

Is that what you guys are talking about?

If Rumple has powers (supposidly stronger than Evil Queen's) and he also has the ability to see into the future, why can't he 'tell' that the EQ lied and that Belle is still alive? Hmmmmmm?

In the hallway of the hospital....it was a man, mopping. Pretty creapy looking I must say!

Yep, brings it all back to the second episode when Regina was confronting Mr. Gold at the apple tree. She asked him a question and he cut her off by saying that she didn't want to bring that up again, "please."

Did anyone else laugh when Rumple handed Belle the rose? It was right before or after a commercial for The Bachelor. :rotfl:

Another question.... Was Sean disowned by his wealthy father when he went back to Ella? Why else would he be working at the cannery? And I wonder if the cannery will be of significance because they brought it up several times. They could have just said he was at work and not mentioned what he did.

I just watched it!!:dance3: I think that was the best one so far. Thanks to you all I noticed the snow missing when Mr Gold left drug store, & I saw the hat. I may have missed it if I wasn't looking for it.

Yes, I loved this about the episode. We finally know who knows what.

I would put money on the second. I almost want that more than Snow and the prince. For some reason, that story line is getting boring to me. Leave you wife already prince. :headache:

Over all it was a great episode, but one thing puzzles me and that is that Rumpelstiltskin is two characters, Rumpelstiltskin & the Beast. Is this because he turns into the beast? I would have never guessed that he would have been the beast, but I guess it makes since. I'm talking in circles.:upsidedow

Also, why did he trust the queen when she told him about Belle? Why didn't he go see for himself?

I loved it so much, I think I'm going to watch it again.

No. In Rumple's house (not Mr Gold's house), he has several "trinkets" around the room. If you look in the background, you'll the puppets (which look like they are floating rather than on a pedestal), Cogsworth and Lumiere which are on a side table, a sword which seems to be on a stand and a sorcerer's hat which is on a pedestal.

There was an article/interview about the show (TV Guide or something) where they said that Rumple was a beast like character, not the traditional beast from the Disney movie.

There is something about Rumple not leaving his palace. Belle's dad was wondering if he would be able to make it, he nailed his curtains shut, etc. There might be a bounty on his head and he was hiding out. The queen could have been egging him on to see if he really cared for her enough to leave the mansion. :confused3

Oh! His house?? I thought it was in jail, at the end.

Rats! Now I have to go watch it yet again! ;)

I did see all the other stuff.

Thank you!

Just found some twitter comments by Jane Espenson last night:

This episode of #OUAT came in 18 minutes too long! Oh, the things that were cut! Months are going by in Fairy Tale Land... scenes!

Regarding Rumple covering the mirror to keep the queen's spy from finding out what is going on. She wrote: TRUE! Keeping queen's spy out probably requires covering other reflective surfaces other than the giant mirror.

She also wrote that Red/Ruby's story will be in 3 episodes.

She wrote: Did you see "Game of Thorns" on the side of the flower van? I couldn't resist putting that in!

When asked: What fairy tale character are you most excited to have the audience see in the future? She replied: Wolf from Red Riding Hood story

It was definitely a guy and the funny thing is the first thing I thought about was that Native American guy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

After all, she was in the town's looney bin :rotfl:

Here's the sticking point with this theory. Emma is supposed to be the one to break the curse. I'm expecting that she has a direct hand in it - but who am I kidding, we're dealing with the people who wrote LOST. ;)

There was only a brief view of the card David bought in the pharmacy -- one was the silly one (intended for wife -- I woof you) -- the other had a couple with two crowns on it (for Mary Margaret).

Also, Belle's dad's first reaction was "It wasn't my fault" -- in times of stress, do the characters remember their previous lives? Or was it because Regina put him up to stealing the cup?

Another "wonder whether" -- he killed Cinderella's fairy godmother so that he could make a deal with Cinderella to get her to the ball. Did Rumple kill the real beast so that he could make a deal with Belle's family?

And will we have a Sword in the Stone episode?

Who was the nurse behind the desk? With that hair style, you just know she's a villain.

The name of the florist shop on the van is cool. I wonder if it is meant as an homage, or the creators way of thumbing their noses and sticking up for Damon Lindelof after all the hubub with George R.R. Martin over the LOST finale. I can't imagine it is the latter, but if so, fellas...time to let it go. I'm sure the must be fans of the book and/or show.

I'm in the dark here. What was the deal with Lindelof and Martin?

I thought the same thing, which became even funnier when I watched Shameless afterwards with Louise Fletcher playing the Granny :rotfl2:

I thought SHE was made to look more like Nurse Ratched from One Flew Over The Cukoo's Nest~Tinkerdreams has another reference with the creepy janitor guy (the Chief character, right?)~I really need to watch the episode before checking on this thread, lol....I saw the last few minutes and that's it
