David has memories of him and Catherine...memories where he loves her, but in his current state...he does not love her...only knows he did love her once because of the memories....so he wants to try to make it work. ...however....in his current state he loves Mary Margaret. He said it really well when they met on the street...before they kissed, but I cannot remember the exact wording. I hold no ill-will towards him....I feel like he is torn between 2 different people within himself......

Well, if we want to be completely technical, Charming is actually cheating on Snow with Catherine, because Catherine is not nor has she ever been his wife. Remember, he was in a coma the entire time he's been in Storybrooke until Emma came to town. The marriage and memories are all a farce.

Well, what if someone is in a very bad accident and does not remember anything afterwards....has amnesia...does not remember anything about his/her life....those that he loved before the accident. In the meantime he/she meets someone who helps him/her recover...and feels an attachment to them. Then...one day...he/she has a memory resurface. In it he/she remembers loving his/her family/spouse, but those feelings are no longer the same since the accident. He/she tries to make it work, but the feelings seen before in memories are no longer present......

Not trying to be the Devil's Advocate, but I can see it both ways. David and Mary Margaret do not know they were once married....all David knows is that she helped him recover in the hospital and he developed feelings for her.

Anyway...I think it would be different if my Dh was walking down the street...saw an ex-girlfriend and decided to hook-up! Totally different scenario than the one being portrayed on the show.

I wonder why Catherine has the same memories though?? If you go back to the episode when David came home from the hospital Catherine has a discussion with Regina where you can tell that Catherine also believes she was married to David. I am sure if was somehow the work of Regina/EQ.

The windmill reminds him of his house with his mom I think, didn't they have a windmill?

remember, in the episode where he was going to meet snow by the bridge he stopped in mr gold's shop and when he saw the windmill he suddenly "remembered "his life with catherine, also, he said he hated the windmill, thats why it was in mr golds shop??

Something the stranger said to Henry outside his house made me think he was the Pied Piper. Since, in the story, the PP leads the children into a land the parents can't follow, maybe he leads them to THIS land, this time? But then the typewriter doesn't make sense. I was very confused when that hit.

Catherine has the same memories for the same reason that Snow White thinks her name is Mary Margaret and Prince Charming thinks his name is David, etc. It's all part of the curse that the EQ placed on everyone. PC could have never been married to Catherine, because he's been in a coma the entire time until Emma came to town.

Well, I personally never liked Catherine (aka: King Midas' daughter's) personality. So, it wouldn't surprise me if they were working together. It makes me more curious to find out how PC got out of marrying her in the fairy tale world. Maybe when we learn that, it'll be more clear if Catherine's just another victim of the curse or if she's working with EQ. I think that the only two who know anything at all are Mr. Gold and Regina though. Although, with this show, anything's possible.

Well, the last episode ended with Grumpy telling Snow that PC canceled the wedding and didn't marry her. We just don't know why yet.

I'm new here and maybe I missed an earlier conversation on characters, but I am just curious as to who everyone's favourite characters are?

I personally like Mr. Gold. He certainly has the most intriguing part in the show. I also have an hypothesis as to why he is so interested in Emma.
