"Once Upon a Dream" PTR UPDATED 10/11/2011

Ok, I admit it! Sometimes I like to procrastinate. I finally broke down and decided to go back to Weight Watchers for the millionth time. It seems to be the only program that works for me. And believe me I have tried it all!
Yes I know I have only a month and some change left to my cruise. I keep having these nightmares that I will get booted off Southwest for being too fat. Thanks Kevin Smith!

I bought a monthly pass. It lets me go to as many monthly meetings as I want and I get access to the tools online. I write a food blog also so I expect my menus will be much lighter. http://tinkmomfoodie-foodobsession.blogspot.com/. My problem isn't so much the content but the portion size...

I also have this 6 week boot camp I have been fearing to go to. It might be the push I need to get going. If it doesn't kill me! With 7 weeks left to my cruise it is cutting it close, I know! It's a good thing I don't gain weight at Disney from all that walking around:laughing:

My DH, DD, and I went for a nice walk down by Lake Michigan yesterday and saw one of our old time scooners. It reminds me of the British ship in POTC.

Hi deckmate! ;) I saw your report and had to follow along since you'll be only a few (or so ;) ) doors down from me.

I'm doing WW too. I love it b/c you can eat anything-but you have to learn the portions that you can have and then those fabulous "extra" points. :)
I use a lot of Lean Cuisine meals and some of the smart ones but LC is my favorite. LC has these new snacks that are awesome too.

My goal is to be down 10 pounds before our cruise and I knocked out 1 already so that is 9 to go. My long term goal is to lose much more but 10 is a start right?

We're going to be at Disney before the cruise too but only a couple days so no parks. We're going a couple days after also since I want to hit MNSSHP (another first for us-first party at all actually) the day we come off the ship.

This is my first cruise and I'm really excited and love seeing your pics!!

I like WW for the fact that I can eat what I want within reason too. I write a food blog besides this and will be writing some of what I eat on there. http://tinkmomfoodie-foodobsession.blogspot.com/

I like how in the first week you loose a lot of weight. I am hoping for a big number next Tuesday! Tonight I made some Zuchinni-Chocolate Chip muffins with Splenda. My hubby is a insulin dependant diabetic and was pretty bad yesterday. He went to BW3's for a fantasy football draft and ate stuff he wasn't supposed to. Even though I cook pretty well now, this is a chance for both of us to get fit together.

I didn't do much Disney related today except for watching the Dream head out into rough weather. No one should start their cruise with rain but we did on our first cruise and it turned out ok. But in the Dreams case this week I don't think they will be enjoying much of anything except glasses of water and sea sickness pills.

On our 3 day cruise we had really chopping water going out and coming in. It was in November and they tie down the Christmas trees. You could see them swaying from side to side and some of the performers during the shows were having a hard time not falling.

On a good note, I got my insurance check from USPS. That was quick! Now I promptly went to the Cricut store and purchased a refurbished one.

This is what I wish for on my cruise:

Awesome post! I'm glad we're going in Feb/March - no chance whatsoever of a hurricane then! I'm getting enough flak from DH about his potential motion sickness. Men are such babies!

Has anyone heard yet how CC fared?

Yesterday my DH and my youngest DD went to this really pretty park right off lake Michigan. It is really huge and they give you a map to get around. Too bad for us that we couldn't follow the map! We must have walked 5 miles. It's good for my weight loss but I am still tired today!

I am finishing putting the bling on my Mickey tie-dyed shirt. The Mickey didn't turn out as well as I would have liked so I am putting bling around it. This is my oldest DD's shirt.

I started printing off my magnets last night for our door. I still have the ones I received as presents on my fridge door. My kitten has chewed some. I know if I need to find her to just use a magnet lol:rotfl:

So back to the magnets. I did something to my printer so it would only print in black and white. I wasn't sure how I fixed it but I did! Now I have to wait a few days for the magnet paper I ordered off Ebay. I also plan on making T-shirts for our cruise also. Who is going to wear them? I don't know? Probably only me. I made tie dyed Mickey shirts for all of us by my oldest doesn't want to wear them as a family:mad: My oldest doesn't want to wear anything I buy or make for her! She is going through that FUN tween stage.

I rode my bike for the first time in a few years today and am proud to say I am still alive lol:laughing: My weigh in is tomorrow for Weight Watchers.

I've got 44 more days til we start our Disney Vacation and about 48 more days til the Dream. Here is one of the pictures that is keeping me going. I know I will be laying in a hammock on Castaway very soon!

I'm here! :yay:

If we are going to truly cruise in a couple of years I should probably pay more attention to cruise PTR/TRs.

Plus your days kind of overlap my days. Although you will be on a big beautiful ship as I attend my first ever MNSSHP! :cool1:

Good job joining WW. I lost 40 pounds with them years ago (before kids). I followed a fat/fiber plan that they stopped offering while I was there. I know what to do I'm just not motivated. All you dissers losing weight might motivate me though. Although my husband has lost about 100 pounds in the last year and that didn't so who knows.:confused3

We had a blast in 2009 at our first MVMCP and I am sure we will have an equally awesome time at the MNSSHP. I think our Pirate costumes are going to do double duty. We will use them on the ship and at WDW.

They made some changes to the WW plan but I bough the monthly pass so I get access to e-tools so I can figure it out. Some of the points values changed a bit. I am hoping to be down at least 20 lbs by our trip. :thumbsup2

You know the saying "When God gives you lemons, make lemonade?" Well such is the case for this trip. I thought we would have some extra spending money but that has fallen through. I am hoping to pick up some extra hours at work but that is difficult since we are only open from 2-6 Monday through Friday.

I might have to give up one of our park days. I am still hunting down tickets on Ebay and through my hubby's work site and hope we can get a deal. Otherwise we will have the MNSSHP and either HS or AK. That would mean I would have to cancel some food ressies too. But we are staying at a beautiful hotel and I am sure it won't be so bad getting in some extra pool time.

Back when I thought we had the free dining plan for our dates I booked the minimum one park ticket. I wish I would have just bought 2 days. Oh well! Darn Columbus day week. Why does that week have to be blocked out for free dining? I could have saved us a few hundred bucks right there!

For us the cruise is our cherry pie. It's the reason we are going to WDW. I am so excited to see all the new things on the Dream. That's what's keeping me motivated.

Well here's my picture of the day. It's of my yacht behind Atlantis :rotfl:

Well the days are numbered in the 30's now:banana: I have been putting the finishing touches on my FE gifts and putting my new Cricut to use. The printer is still broke but I am sure I saved my magnets from our two previous cruises.

We just got back from a two and a half mile walk. It is really windy here today. There were some para-sailors on the lake. I wouldn't want to swim in there! It's not like the beautiful crystal clear water of Castaway Cay.

Today I dropped our ressie for Tusker House. We decided to keep our HS and MNSSHP and will probably go to Typhoon Lagoon instead. I want some time to discover our new resort too!

I got my ME tags yesterday for CBR! That means we are getting even closer to our trip! :dance3: I also lost 3.4 lbs this week at Weight Watchers so I am feeling awesome!

Typhoon Lagoon should be fun! I've always wanted to go to the water parks, but there never seems to be enough time to get there. I pretty much have to be forced out of the parks to relax :lmao: We have so many water parks in the Dells that they also seem like something we can just do anytime, anyhow. Maybe you should do a TR and that will convince me to give it a try(hint hint :))

Yep! I should give them a try. I am not sure which is better Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach. And my excuse is we didn't got to the Dells this year lol! From what I've seen CBR has a ton of pools too so I am sure we will be in water somewhere:thumbsup2

I looked at my hubbys Tickets at Work site and the discount on the tickets is only about 8 bucks a ticket. Not as much as I had hoped.

We didn't get to the Dells yet this year either. The prices this summer were RIDICULOUS! I don't know if they missed the memo that there is a recession going on or what?? Of course now they have the $99 Friday night specials for the Wilderness (that's our favorite), but it's crunch time for saving for Disney. Brent is thinking for New Year's Eve, but that is WAY too much moola for me! I told him he can pay

Great job on the weight loss! We didn't go to the dells either this year, we have really been trying to save up for this trip! Have you ever been to Key Lime Cove? We totally pick there over anywhere in the dells! LOL

That name sounds familiar. Is that the one in Illinois? Nope we haven't been there but we did get some vouchers for the waterpark at Chula Vista for submitting pics to Look Who's 6 on channel six. We would only be able to go up there for the day though. All our money is going on this trip too!

I am in the home stretch now and soon enough we will be at the resort. We were thinking about adding a water park day but decided CBR has plenty of pools to discover. I hear their main pool is huge. Then a few days after that we have the ocean to play in.

Yea, its in Gurnee, right across the street from six flags. We try to go a few times a year, they usually have GREAT deals in the winter. We were too going to add a waterpark but decided not too as well. DH doesnt really enjoy the water all that much and DS is still a little too young to enjoy the slide and what not. I figure it's money that can spent elsewhere! We always vacation in November because we like to "extend" our summer a little since we get cut short here in WI! I usually am starting to park by mid-sept because it's already time to put summer clothes away, instead of putting them in boxes for the winter, I throw them in my suitcase!

I too like to put things off, and have yet to even start our FE gifts, let alone know what I want to do! I need to get busy since we are doing a B2B!

Here's what's going on! We decided to keep HS and drop our ressies at AK. That would be our last day. We are going to use that day as a laundry/pool day. I would have had to pay OOP for a meal but since we dropped a character meal that takes one credit off. CRT is eating up 2 of our credits as it is.

We are still looking at Garden Grocer to deliver our stuff. We figure if we wanted the refillable mugs that still would be 30 plus bucks. It is $56 for Garden Grocer and we would have snacks, soda, and a case of water delivered. For us at least, I hate when you sit in your room at night and get the munchies. Then everything is closed. We can take the extra soda and water on the Dream with us. That way too I can have some fruit delivered.

Another thing I was thinking about for the Dream was to bring our own Birthday decorations. I hope they let me put them up! I have some cute magnets I wanted to print out. I wish my printer would work!

Tonight we are going to a Brewer game. We got the tickets for free for me donating blood. It should be a awesome game against the Phillies!
