And the ban did result in a decrease from the previous period, it was certainly smaller than after the ban, but still smaller.
And your edit is why it's a good idea to post links to the data you use. This way people can judge for themselves.I would argue that any child's life saved during a ban is a higher priority than someone's imagined right to own a weapon designed for use in a battlefield.
ETA: The discrepancies between numbers on your graphs and what I used as a reference point is likely what parameters the source used to determine how many deaths constituted a "mass shooting" or similar parameters.

There was one recently that was outside the US, and didn't involve a gun (no AR or any other type of firearm). It was posted here but only had a handful of replies. No hate, no anger, no cries of government needing to do more, nothing. Why? Are only certain tragedies worthy of discussion and outcry?
