What is Onboard Credit??? AAA tells me they offer that, but I am playing telephone tag with my TA right now, and that's one of the questions I have for her.
Also, can everyone buy a mug onboard for unlimited coke etc?
If you book with AAA, their benefit for 2002 is that they give every person that is booked a voucher for a refillable mug. For a 7 day cruise, that's worth $35 per person. If you have 4 in your party, that would be $140 benefit.
An onboard credit is an amount added to your shipboard account and it is available for you to spend while onboard. For instance, if a
travel agent offers a $100 onboard credit as a benefit of booking with them, your cruise will be the same price, but you will have $100 to spend onboard. If you don't spend it onboard, you don't get the difference refunded to you, you lose it. You use it to settle your account when you leave the ship.
For instance, if you had $100 onboard credit and you spent $22 on drinks and $128 on shore excursions, your onboard account would show that you charged $150 and that you have a $100 credit, so you still owe $50.
If you only bought $22 in beverages and you didn't have any shore excursions, you would lose the benefit of the $78.
hope that helps
