On-line check in - does it matter how far in advance?

Our room requests are in already, so is there any benefit to doing OLCI early?

Nope. When you do go to complete the process, make sure you skip the location request section or your previously added requests will be replaced.
 
Yep. Did that. Our flight lands at 9am so I was hoping we'd get into the room before 4, but ... that hasn't happened in our last 2 trips, so I'm not expecting much.

Is this at BLT? We have had luck getting in the room early there a couple of times. Otherwise, we pack a pool bag and grab a snack there while we wait (if we are not headed straight to MK). We have used the Baby Center at MK for the kid (only had one at this time) to rest when she was melting before our room was ready.

It will be at VGF - rented points before we bought. Our last trip was at VGF and not only did we not get a room ready text until after 4, but we ended up moving after the 1st night because they gave our original room to 2 families and we got there 2nd. So they put us in another room that didn't match our room requests (the original room did, but the other family was in there already when our MBs opened the door). So we didn't get into our "oops" room until it was time for our 1900 PF dinner reservation, and then moved the next day to a better room. I'd kind of like that not to happen again!

Wow. No doubt and I definitely prefer never to have an 'oops' room experience.

Oops, misspoke - it was a cash reservation at GF, the hotel. And true to GF's reputation, they did make it right - moved us to a room that matched our room request the next night, refunded us 1/2 night's room rate (rack rate) and 12 anytime anywhere FPs. (The oops room was a pretty sad room.)
