Bought the 4 pack of new hamsters at TRU this morning for $49.99. Isn't that a little steep for regular $10 hamsters??? I guess since they called it a collector pack, they could get more money. Doesn't seem right!!

I agree with you. My sister and I were there too and each got one. I really wanted Jilly so we were going to split one box since we both have the original four but I bought one just because it was there, who knows why. May end up returning it haven't decided. There were only about 25 people there when they handed out tickets.

Exactly I thought value packs were cheaper, but that is TRU for ya! Luckily no girls in my house so we do not need Jilly.

TRU online has the slide and wheel in stock right now. Not sure how long it will last.

I've got one each of the 2009 ones.(CVS few weeks back) Here's my dilemma-I would like to give one to my cousin's DD6 and my neighbor's DD7 but as soon as my DD10 sees that I gave 2 away she'll know she's getting one as well! What to do, what to do?

I could give DD10 all 4 but like a PP said I'm not sure she'll be into them enough to give her all 4 for $40. I haven't bought any accessories and don't plan on it. DD already has real hamster ball (RIP little Ginny) and I bought a little fleece fabric to make a few sleeping bags so I think that's good. If she wants anything else (slide, car, etc.) she can use some of her own $$ to buy them-maybe then she'll play with them longer.

Luckily DD is receiving a Wii as well for Christmas. Her grandparents are getting her one. I got the family a Wii Sports Resort and my DM a Wii Your Shape (which I can use as well since we live together ).

It's so hard at this age, 10, to really know what they'll play with for long. She's still into her LPS and asked for a few more. Even though on her birthday a few months back we did return a few LPS sets she got . She also has announced that she's back into Tink again and wants the newest movie. It's hard when they are between childhood and puberty.

Good luck to all of those still on the hunt. I won't be among those waiting in line for one more Zhu Zhu. I did it one Sunday and got all 4 at 2 different CVS. I'm done.

Walked into CVS for my contact solution, saw the Zhu Zhu's behind the counter..picked up a pink Jilly and then she brought out a whole cart of accessories for me to look at. Very helpful clerk! I ended up with the stroller. AND I got to use a $5 off $15 purchase coupon that printed on a previous trip. Oh, and I was so excited, I forgot my contact solution LOL

I got one too! It was just sitting on a random shelf by the registers and my sister saw it and handed it to me. I am so happy! I have the 4 other ones and now they will have them all!

My sister and I lined up at TRU before opening this morning and by 6am there was only about 15 people in line. No tickets were given out, just a bunch of zhu zhus and accessories stacked in baskets right by the entrance to the store. We got the 4 pack with new colors and already have all the accessories that TRU had available.

I was shocked that more people weren't there, when we left there were still a ton of the 4 packs left and a decent amount of accessories.

Anyway, just curious about the stroller thing, not sure if a new batch of accessories came out and I missed it.

Yes, that is one of the new accessories....there are even baby hamsters too!

I saw a boat the other day in TRU...almost bought it but I want to wait to see if my girls really want to play with them or if it is just another toy fad...

sounds like different TRUs have different accessories..at mine they don't even have the boat yet and don't know anything about the babies...they also didn't have any accessories when we got the 4 pack of new colors this am. Very interesting...maybe I need to check other TRU in our area.

Just got back from ToysR US and bummer.....I was told yesterday their hours for Sunday to open was 7 AM (by two employees, one a manager). So I get there at 6:30 only to discover they are already open (opened at 6 AM) but I did manage to get 3 zhu zhu pets. I needed the black and white one, but of course, it was not available. I so wanted to return that $49 collector pack I bought yesterday morning. My grandson thinks he is getting the black and white one, so now I don't know what to do....open the collector pack just to get the one he wants, or have him disappointed with a different one??? I know I should be thankful that I have that choice, but I hate to disappoint. Hope you all are getting what you need.

Kmart has the black and white one (Winkie) available on-line right now. You'd have to pay the shipping fee, but if you really want to get him that one, it might be an option.

I got my single Zhu Zhu from shopko.com in the mail yesterday. It is currently in the box in the Christmas tree.

I keep joking with my son about him getting a Zhu Zhu pet. He is 13.

On Christmas eve, Santa stuffs his stocking with goodies. But whatever doesn't fit in the stocking goes into the tree.......

Yeah she's the one, I had all four in my cart and was paying via paypal, when I got the receipt THATS when it said she was sold out
So close but yet so far. I'm just happy that I got the other 3!!!

I know I had her in my cart too and it said sold out. Not sure that my kids will really care about the other new ones. I have the first four for them but I would love to get them Jilly!!
