I just got a Toys R Us e-mail this morning - and maybe someone posted this cause I didn't go back through and look - that they were going to have them available for the first 50 people in line on Sunday, Nov 8. It is in store only, no rainchecks.

I preordered a 3-pack back in August for 22.99 at TRU online. They just shipped 2 days ago... I have 3 kids so it's perfect and I didn't spend a fortune.

right after I posted that I walked into the kitchen and thought DUHHH... day early. Oh well, guess what I'll be doing tonight!!!?!!!

Yeah, I just saw that info on my Facebook page from TRU. Too bad ours open at 10 am on Sunday. Everyone is awake by then! I need them to open at 6 am or something so i can be there first! I don't know if I'm going to try it tomorrow or not. Maybe I will.

I had preordered a 3-pack from Toys R Us on October 1. After reading this string, I was doubtful that they'd ever fill that order given all of the pre-orders that Toys R Us has cancelled. Got a notice this morning that they have shipped my order! Now I'll just keep my fingers crossed that they will actually ship the giant playset that I ordered on 10/28!

I ordered my giant playset back in August with the hamsters... it got canceled BUT - the hamsters were shipped just a couple days ago. Hope you are lucky and actually get the playset!

Heck - if my kids just get a hamster, they'll be happy...

I've been searching other forums and there seems to be a question about WHEN Walmart will actually put them on the shelves tomorrow.

I don't want to be stalking the toy department at midnight if they plan to put them at at 6am or 7am as other sites have mentioned.

Anyone with some inside info. My store is keeping it a secret, though I was told they are setting a limit of two per person.

Now one of our WM's has only 16 -and limiting 1 to a household -
& no accessories @ all
The other one doesn't know what they have yet - still unloading their truck.

SOOO I'm not sure I'm gonna go out tonight @ all - I have my rats (as my dh calls them) just need accessories & since I still haven't seen any further ad I'm guessing they only have the pets.

I asked at my Walmart today and they said they are putting them out at 12:01am...limit of 2....very limited quantities. I only need a hamster so I am heading over there around 11:30pm to check it out...think I might where my pj's

My DH is at our Walmart now (10:33) and the lady stocking the toy department doesnt seem to know if they even have any to stock. I spoke to her earlier today and she didn't seem like she was lying. She told DH that someone is coming and buying everything the minute it hits the shelves. Makes me think that it's an inside job. DH is going to check on a few other things and then make one more toy dept. stop. They do have signage up (limit 2 per person) that was not there yesterday so it makes me think that they are expecting some.

I wish they would just either say "yes, we'll have them at _____time" or do the thing where you can line up and they'll start selling them at 8:00 a.m. If we knew the correct time we could make arrangements. But I don't want my DH to be stuck in Walmart indefinately.

EDIT: Just found out that our Walmart closes at midnight so looks like I might have to make an early morning trip over there.

Just back from my Walmart trip. I got there at 11:30pm and waited in a line with about 10 other people. The manager comes out at 12:01am with 7 hamsters...yes, I said 7! What a joke! Oh well....I have 3 hamsters as it is, but I know my dd's friends have Zhu Zhus on their Christmas lists so I was hoping to help their moms out too. Hope others had better luck!!

I don't know if I'm going to go out tonight. I'm really tired. I need to make up my mind in the next fifteen minutes though. LOL It's already 11:30 here. I'm thinking I'll just go to bed. I'm tired. We have hamsters but what I really need is accessories!

Just back from our local Wal-mart..... got there @ 11:30pm and headed to the toy dept. There was a woman stocking shelves and I asked if she knew if they had Zhu-Zhu pets.... she said they are no longer putting them on the shelves due to a few too many instances of people attacking the pallets before they get a chance to open them. I guess a pallet collapsed the other day (Zhu-zhu pets were on it) and they pulled them off the floor because a customer got injured. She told me to go to Sporting Goods and get in the Zhu-zhu pet rain check line..... there were 2 women waiting there and then my friend and I joined them as we waited for midnight. The manager came over and said he had 4 in stock and it was 2 per person. The 2 women in front of us each wanted 2.... he said that after that, they have 80 coming in this week and we would be guaranteed up to 2 if we filled out the raincheck form....I will be getting a call when my 2 come in hopefully this week. Now I just need to track down a ball and car/garage..... they didn't know when or if they'd be getting accessories in anytime soon....

I went to 2 Walmarts last night, here's the score: Zhu Zhu pets = 2 Princess April = 0. The people in the toy department of the first store were friendly and told me that they didn't get any in. The second store the lady was just down right grouchy. When I inquired about them she said, "I don't got 'em and I don't care if I ever hear or see 'em." Me thinks she has been asked 1 too many times about them . Well, my search continues......

I stopped into a 24 hr WM tonight at 10:45 on my way home. There was a pallet out with toys so ?I asked the lady unloading it. She was very nice, but said they only got 4 as in FOUR hamsters in and they were already spoken for as the dayshift people promised them to other customers (who were in the store waiting).

That WM (on 248) is limiting them to 2 per person. The woman was really nice about it, and said they ordered 200 and all they got was 4! Looks liek there will be some ANGRY people there tomorrow morning when they look at their ads!

I have them for my kids (and the accesories), but now my stepfathers granddaughters want them, so I am trying to help him and my mom out, as well as a few friends who are looking too.

I was just at our Wal Mart too and they said they only got 4 in as well. Said people are litterally getting into fist fights over them. now...... Why would they put an item in their ad if they only intended on sending 4 of them to each store????? False advertising if you ask me.

After reading tons of posts from unhappy people (scanning the web) I gave my store another call. lol

The toy clerk said they didn't have ANY at this point. It sounds like employees might be getting first dibs on these.

Luckily a manager walked by as this clerk was telling me the situation and asked to speak with me. He was very apologetic and said he thinks they "may" have some and that he will call me back in a half a hour (still only 10:30) here.

My guess is the manager is just covering for the employee since the store is supposed to have at least some. I asked about a raincheck and he said there was no raincheck on this item.

So that's where I am. Hope I luck out and the manager wrangles me a couple. It makes me so mad to think that two weeks ago I could have bought unlimited amounts of this stuff, but I underbought. (my daughters are all expressing an interest in these critters, was just shopping for youngest at the time)
