Huge congrats to you!! This will be fun, can you continue to post on this thread and we can follow you all the way thru the 9 months?! can't wait to see what you're having, do you have any preference?
I am a mother of twins and found the following book extremely helpful: When You Are Expecting Twins, Triplets, or Quads: Revised Edition, Proven Guidelines for a Healthy Multiples Pregnancy. It's available on Amazon if you want to check the reviews. This book was a lifesaver for me!
I know that shock all to well Congrats to you! I also followed the Barbara Luke guidelines on our perinatologist's recommendation and in our case, I think ensured we had healthy happy premies. I spent much of my pregnancy thinking of ways to eat more protein.
I know it seems somewhat intimidating right now, but you will do it. All moms find a way to do what they need.
I find the forums.twinstuff.com girls to be very helpful as well, and there is a section for triplets!
wow, congrats! My SIL's SIL had triplets (just saw them yesterday at my nephew's b-day party in fact) and while she has her hands full, I don't think she'd want it any other way.
My cousin and his wife just had triplets back in May!! Two girls and one boy!! They're super busy, but SUPER happy!!
They had a small one too...so small that they were actually told very early in the pregnancy that it was twins because the heartbeat for the small baby was so weak. Then you can imagine their surprise when they went in and were told triplets!!
They had a few scares with the smallest one. I think she was just over 2 lbs when born, so she had to stay in the hospital for a couple of weeks. But all 3 of the babies are happy and healthy now!!
And it sounds like even your "small" one is keeping up with the others!!
Congratulations! The joy you and your DH must be feeling right now.
Take care of yourself starting now. Let your husband pamper you and enjoy every moment of being pregnant.
I carried my triplets to week 35 (to the day). We wanted a third child and got three.
