OMG! I am OBSESSED with DisBoards! Ahh - Support Group needed...

 Ok, so I am on Vacation, not at walt Disney World, but at The InLaws in Florida.... And I have to say how hard it was to Fly into Orlando, travel through Orlando, and not stay in Orlando!! Next time we will be heading to The World, so I kept telling the kids (and myself) that as we passed all the colorful signs and say all the big buildings!! And reminded myself that I need all the time I can get to save save save...:confused3

Anyway, Just had a few moments to check email and paycome bills online and thought I would POP in to say Hello and see what all the DisAddicts were up to this week.... Besides home (NH) getting ladled with 16" of snow while we have been away:scared1: , all seems to be well???

I am with you all. I am on Spring Break and should be working on my Master's stuff. I even had a plan to get my projects done but all I have done is read and post on the DIS boards. I almost began to cry when I found this thread because I really do think I have a problem. It is 2:45 a.m. here and I am still reading. It is so much fun. I have two days before I have to go back to school. Hopefully I can get my projects done before then.

I still have lots of questions regarding this fun stuff. the tech board did not help me either. I want to know what is a signature and how do I get one? How do I keep track of all the places that I have posted things? and finally how do I get off this crazy thing called a DIS board? It is now 3:15a.m. and I am going to bed. See you guys in the morning.   :earboy2: :coffee: : :coffee: :coffee:

DH thinks i'm nuts! He's says, oh, are you on the dis boards again?? Oh well, at least I'll be prepared for our trip later this year - we went last year and missed out on quite a few things, cause I didn't plan ahead! Gotta love this board!

My DH knew it was time for an intervention when I made the DIS my homepage. I have lurked for years, started when I was pregnant in 2002 and read some tips. But now that I have joined-forget about it!

Hi ya all!

I haven't been spending much time on the boards, but with free dining again it makes me want to be on the boards to get a fix because we can't go this year, but will go in September of 2008.

I have a question for Grendalynn or anyone else from Maine or New Hampshire. Grendalynn, how much do you estimate it costs you to drive from NH? I would like a breakdown:

Gas $
Tolls $
lodging $ (how many nights?)
Food $
Also, how much do you get airfare for from NH to Orlando?

When we went in 2005 we were planning on driving to save money, but then gas went sky high(like now!) and we found a last minute deal to fly from Portland, ME(which is the closest to us - 35 min.) to Orlando FL for $135/pp including taxes!!!! That was the deal of the century!! You usually don't even get that price from Manchester, NH or Boston!

My husband would like to fly again, but with a large family of 9(1 free) it costs a bit per ticket unless it is another bargain! I am trying to see what it costs from this area because it's been a while since we travelled down to Florida.

Also how is your decision coming about a camper? How much have you figured it would cost w/ a camper compared to driving a car? or flying?

Tammy from Maine

I am so obbsessed with th Disboards as well! I could stay on this site forever . I swear I can't stop!!!!!

So when is everyone going? Where are you staying?

dd comes downstairs in the am, sees you on the laptop and says, "Disboards? Again?"

in conversation with dd & dh about changing hotels, you innocently say, "I could change the ressies." and they look at you, repeating "ressies?!"

you've been sitting in front of the darn laptop since 7:30am and its 9:30am now!!

Gotta go to work so I can pay for this trip!!

I loose track of the time when I am on here.

For some reason it just is so mesmorizing.

I think it is because I am a big Disney freak!

I am on here 24/7(or when I am not swamped with homeowrk or excersising)

hi - so sorry for not checking in. I feel like I am in withdrawls... its on my mind but baby boy has been sick and with that being said, i got sick as well. Typical right!? How are all my fellow Addiscts doing these days??popcorn::

Anywho - 2 things: you, or anyone for that matter, can check out the trip calculator by Fuel Trip Calculator by AAA, you can pick your year and make of car, where you are starting from and going to and it wil give you the total cost at the avergae price of gas between point A and B. Go to: http://www.fuelcostcalculator.com/. 2nd thing to look into for flights: Alegiant Air flies out of PEASE Tradeport in Portsmouth, NH with cheap direct flights to the Orlando Sanford Airport. :thumbsup2 we have driven staright through in the past and made it to Orland o in less than 24 hours, but with the little ones it is good to stop so they can air outtheir tail feathers and we aren't totally exausted to start off the trip. Because honestly, you need another relaxing vacation after leaving Disney.... its go go go all the time!! But thats why we all love it so much - always so much fun and exciting things, you never run out of things to do...

The only draw back being that they do not have Magical Gatherings Trasportation at that airport I don't believe, but I am not 100%. Our family of 5 just flew down there on a NON_STOP flight for $229 each - $99 one each pp one way, and another $109 for the rturn trip pp. Both airports are smaller in size and are a quick and easy in and out, especially with kiddos!! Anywho - I am not sure where you are inMaine, but if 95 isnt far away, its a quick shot up and for the $$ you can't beat it. Another thing about Alegiant is that they do have limited schedules, so that may be something to look into....www.alegiantair.com :surfweb:

I hope this helps! I certainly have the Disney bug now that I have seen the Mickey Ears and all the highway hype last week!! Makes us want to go more than ever!!!! Happy Dising!!

It's so easy to get "lost" here - reading posts, looking at pics....
I could do this all day!

its just a little taste of Disney to help us through our days... especially with the horrible weather the east coast has been having - its like a little piece of heaven!! :cheer2:

Hello Fellow Addicts

I haven't stopped on this thread for a while! I feel that I am becoming more addicted as time goes on :rotfl:

DH always makes comments that all I do is DIS...well, that might be true but I really feel that I could have worse addictions, right :confused3

Ok, my DIS obsession went public today when I text messeged my friend about her "ressies" and she text back, "What's a ressies?"
