Omg! Horrible experience tonight bat at CG!

45 min just to get bread and takenappie orders. At that point we cancelled the rest of of our meal and left. Our kids were starving! And just wanted to go back to POFQ to grab someyhingthing to eat.

No wonder you were displeased - diapers would make a terrible appetizer, LOL! Just kidding! I work with a lot of folks from across the pond, so the first thing I thought when I saw your post was that you (a) had bats at California Grill and (b) had asked for diapers, and that it took 45 minutes for them to bring you some. I was SO CONFUSED!!

We have always loved Cali Grill and the service has always been superb, but we always go to WDW in the 'off' seasons. I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy it. I'm also glad you didn't have bats and didn't eat diapers.

Well, I'm still incredibly disappointed that there was no bat involved...

Every other meal we had was fantastic! Some were disappointing, but not to that degree, and we did not cause a fuss.

The appetizers we ordered were stale and tasted like they had been in the refridgerator for days uncovered. Even the salads which my daughters ordered. I love sushi, but I took 2 bites (to be fair, in case my first bite was inaccurate), and, well I won't get graphic, but thought it was horrible.

Ate at Cali Grill on July 3rd. No bats. We ordered the four cheese flatbread we've had before, which was excellent, and also a stuffed zucchini w/ blossom tempura. It was outstanding, one of the best apps we've EVER had in WDW. My salmon with spring pea risotto was great, my wife's pasta with mushrooms was very bland. The only strike out of the night. Desserts (including complementary chocolate birthday cake) were really good. Then to top it off, the July 3rd fireworks were incredible. Perfect view from our window seat.

Moral of the story to the OP -- Sorry your experience was disappointing! You should try it again sometime, it's really a good restaurant.
