OMG....Flying out of Buffalo is sooo worth it.

JetBlue now has flights posted through May 2005. I'm tempted to book with them, but I'm thinking I'll be able to get a better deal on Southwest when they release their airfares beyond the end of October.

How do these two airlines compare (services, on time, planes etc)?

Re: Jet Blue

Don't know if Canadians know much about this airline, but it's really causing a stir in the local NYC airline market.

It's a discount carrier, and they don't serve meals (packaged snacks only) BUT they do offer pre-assigned seating (much better than the Southwest "cattle-call" to board the plane), very low prices if one books ahead, and best of all....live DIRECT TV for every seat (about 25 channels).

On a recent flight from New Orleans to New York (3 hrs), I caught the better part of a playoff hockey game, thanks to Jet Blue!

If you want a very pleasant flight experience, go with Jet Blue....you may have to change planes in New York -JFK though en route to Orlando (just my guess).

Thank you so much Jersey Shark!

Jet Blue have some great prices for my dates in Nov. ($79 US each way). You're right about stopping in New York (no direct flights listed for my dates). It's great to have 2 alternatives now for cheap flights out of Buffalo.

:sunny:

and Southwest is still the best price for my situation and mine is non stop flights where I could only find connecting flights with Jet Blue.

Good luck with your search!!
