We were waitlisted at HH for Thanksgiving weekend (only have Saturday night so far) and decided to try for Christmas week. Got a 1BR starting 12/26 and checking out on 1/1/03!!! Cannot believe it!! Hannah at Member Services was SOOOOO helpful when I was being so indecisive!
We are really, really excited!!! Have absolutely NO idea what the weather is like there at that time of year and what activities there will be that week, but cannot wait to go HOME for the first time!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

P.S.--Did I mention that I am really, really excited???!!!:p

WOW!! I'm excited for you and will share your excitement. We love HH and would love it no matter what the weather will be. Have a wonderful New Years!

We purchased DVC at Hilton Head this past December. We were there from December 19-24. The weather most days was very pleasant. We spent some time at the Beach House and there were even brave souls in the pool at the resort. We had a wonderful time at Hilton Head in December and will be returning for a few days over Thanksgiving week.

Enjoy!

Thanks cgcw, it is fun to have someone to share the enthusiasm!!!
Zeraspride--thank you for the insight. I am really curious as to what there will be to do there that week. I thought the weather is likely to be too cold for swimming, but I am hopeful that there will be non-swimming activities for my DD14 and DS9.

Congratulations! How exciting.

I am curious too. I reserved a 2bedroom from December 23-28. I am pretty much excited........

Cam - we are going to be there too!!!!!! I just called MS and I got a 2 bedroom too! We will be there Dec 29 - Jan 3.

Looking forward to hearing about how it is that time of year!!!

We went to HH in March and loved it!!

We stayed at HH over New Years last year. The weather varied. On one day it snowed but on others the kids were able to swim in the pool. There were plenty of activities to keep my kids (5,6, and 8) busy for 5 days.

Michele & Kamy--
How exciting that you will be there too while we are there. We should plan a DIS meet, even if it is just for coffee one morning. We are really excited to be going. We are still hoping to get at studio for Thanksgiving weekend. I don't have many opportunities to take time off from work, so we are cramming to use our 2002 points this year. Our kids are DD14 and DS9. Do either of you have children?
Kamy, do I remember correctly that maybe you won a DCL cruise? Your name was familiar to me from the cruise forum. My nickname is Cammy.
Windjammer--I am relieved to hear that my son won't be bored. Just being away will be wonderful, though!
Cam:)

Yep, that's me Cam! I won a cruise off a radio station and will be taking it Oct 12! Can't wait! :)

Dh and I decided last night that getting away for a week after the holiday rush would be great. And HHI is on of our favorites. Even if it is cold, it will beat being here in Michigan.

As for kids, we hope to have some by then. Sound strange?? Well, we are in the process of adopting, so who knows!

We are waitlisted for a GV, really wanted one but didn't expect it at this short of notice. But who knows?? Maybe we'll get lucky!
Otherwise we have a 2 bedroom and now have to decide who to invite to join us (it was easier with the GV). :)
Getting together for coffee sounds great! We'll have to keep in touch!

......Disney's Beach House, a spacious 13,000-sq.-foot recreational facility located on
3.5 acres of oceanfront with access to 12 miles of wide sandy beaches, features a
heated swimming pool.

This heated pool will no doubt be important for those of us and our children spending some vacation time at HHI over the holidays and through the winter months.

I am excited too!

Howard
