OMDD Pre-trip Planning Thread

Since both of you are going before I do, even though you are going to WDW, can you see if they make a Dooney cosmetic bag? I really like the Sketch pattern.

I'm not going to WDW silly. You'll have to ask me that question a few days before I go to DL because I have a horrible memory. I'll definitely check for you and take pics.

Silly me, I know you aren't going to WDW. I keep seeing your ticker to Fort Wilderness, so that's stuck in my head. Yes, I will remind you before you go to DISNEYLAND to please see what they have for cosmetic bags. I looked on eBay, and they have the Mickey balloon one, so I know you can or could get them.

Totally agree! No dipping into the Dooney money! I'm planning on getting one as well. Afterall, I won the contest so I get what I want right! LOL!

They might vary somewhat. I think they put some special prints out there for certain events. I had heard about some cute Tinkerbell ones that may have been at Disneyland that were linked with a marathon event. I have also heard several people mention in the Dooney thread that every bag is different and that the way the print is centered on the bags can very. I think someone had ordered 3 or 4 online and picked the one with the best layout and returned the rest. I have been studying up! My daughter has one and her's is so cute. I have noticed that the lighter colored bags can absorb color from other items so we started storing it in a pillow case.

The Dooney case used to smell sooooo good. Definitely not for the vegan or vegetarian crowd.

One of the biggest deciding factors for us choosing the $500 gift card is because my fiance (by trip time wife) is going to get a new Dooney & Bourke. And that's a fact I have surrendered to already

Your right it is a long one! The Cake chatter threads are just as bad. I just love looking at the Disney cakes. That thread is totally responsible for starting my obsession with ordering a special cake each time we go to WDW.

You are all are way to kind, but thank you for the kind words! Last time we were at Disney she kept eyeing this one purse in particular, but it was just too much. I said the next time we went we would save to get her one, so this trip really saved my wallet

I haven't been on here much - we went out of town last weekend - and I am catching up on homework and laundry (two never ending things)

I am starting my planning for DL. If I was going to WDW I would probably already have my ADR list and be prepping for calling for those ADR's. But I think at DL the ADR's don't open till 60 days out. So I haven't be doing any hard core planning yet. I have just been reading threads and boards with DL info.

I do have to say that we normally go during free dining to WDW, and since free dining was announced this week for sept - I started getting itchy palms wanting to make a reservation. we aren't planning on going back to WDW till fall 2013 and even though we are going to DL in Sept, I am about to go crazy trying to figure out if we could pull off a short trip....which I am pretty sure isn't possible with hubby's work and the kids school -lol

Melissa- I was going to ask you- did you get charged for your extra nights at DL, the ones you reserved with the gay days rate? I used my new Disney Visa card, and it didn't even block out the room rate. It's just not charged.

I haven't reserved the room yet ... I got busy last weekend and never got around to it - I may do it later tonight and see what happens
