OMDD Pre-trip Planning Thread

Yeah she's a pretty awesome kid and loves to help so I think we'll be pretty good. She does nap most days and the days she doesn't nap I want to run screaming about 10 minutes after I get her up from "quiet" time. :scared1:

I found nap time was a nice time. Three was not a good age for our daughter though. Terrible Twos were nothing, it was the Threes. I remember, a few weeks after Jason came home, she stood up on our bed and wailed, "I don't want a brother, take him back to the BABY STORE!!!" But, she got over it.

So, this is how crazy I am... I have 7 months and 5 days until we go, and I am working on t-shirts for the four kids to wear on the plane!

My husband totally violated my no injuries before WDW policy today! He fractured his ankle this afternoon. :headache: He has three months to get himself healed up. :sad2:

Haha the day DD turned 3 I knew we had hit a wall that was going to take some major patience to get past! I really hope she doesn't holler that she wants sister to go back to the baby store! :rotfl2:

I'm right there with you guys on the three year old thing. I have a 7 and 5 year old and thus far, the 3's were the worst. I think whoever coined the phrase "terrible two's" obviously did so before their child turned 3!:lmao:

Where oh where is Michael?!?!?! And why is he not emailing or calling me back?!? :sad1:

I know! I think he is in hiding. In all seriousness, the one and only time I talked to him on the phone he seemed a tad overhwelmed. I kind of felt for the guy. :guilty:

I'm glad it's not just me that he is avoiding. :thumbsup2

No, afraid not. I have been afraid to bug him about my airfare since he initially told me 30 days but I would love to have the info sooner so I can plan our first day and last day better. :scared1:

Well according to handustmom who called and spoke with Ventura today, they hadn't even done the Feb 29 drawing, so they must be a little overwhelmed!! Not so good for you planners, but great for hopeful winners like me! I may just yet be surprised!:worship:

Thank you for posting those. Is the purple one between the princesses and Tinkerbell the only plain one you saw, or do you remember seeing others that just aren't pictured? I'm glad there was no velcro. I don't want velcro. I like the Mickey head lanyard (the one you are holding in the swivel picture) for my little guy. He loves Cars, and I got a smoking deal on a Cars starter set from disneystore.com.

There were other plain ones of different colors. I wasn't sure you were interested in those but I remeber seeing at least 5 plain ones with nothing on them, just solid colors. These were all found in the World of Disney Store which is right before you go through the security check point to enter the parks. They have a whole pin trading section in the store with a gazillion pins.

When did you find out you were a winner? I actually didn't receive my questionnaire because my email address has been spelled incorrectly, so it wasn't until I actually contacted them that things were set in motion. I chose WDW, so if you chose them you can PM me and I can give you the information for them if you would like just in case you don't hear anything soon. If you chose Disneyland though I won't have the contact information.

And as for the WDW contact, I received an email today in response to an email I sent last night, so he is still around and still working lol.

Thanks for being helpful. I just read from handustmom that she contacted Ventura and they haven't sent her information to Disney yet which probably means mine has not gone yet either :scared1: Her DH won on Feb 5 and I won on Feb 13:woohoo:

Uh oh. I'm sure it will heal fine by the time you go. My DH fractured his foot a month and a half ago and had to wear the walking boot around for a while. When we went to WDW on President's Day he did the mad dash to Toy Story Mania for Fastpasses when the park opened and definitely regretted that. His foot bothered him the rest of the time but he wasn't smart...that was only a month after he broke it. :sad2:

Oh no!!!! I hope he heals up in time for your trip.

Me too! Amazingly enough he has been going to these bootcamp fitness workouts in the morning and loves it. Well he went on a short walk during his lunch hour yesterday, tripped and fractured it! Well, he got up bright and early this morning and insisted on working out again just upper body stuff though. Got a give him credit for being dedicated. He says he isnt worried. Two years ago he was diagnosed with a rare giant cell tumor that destroyed his c2 vertebrae. We took a short trip to WDW a few moths after all his surgeries and right before his radiation treatments and he was a trooper. He said if he could make the trip after spinal surgery he can hack after an ankle fracture. :goodvibes

Can't you use this to your advantage--- you know, get a wheel chair, skip all the lines on the rides, knock people over when they get in your way???

:lmao: Maybe we could rent one of those scooter things and mow people down to get to all the good rides. :rotfl2:

You could use your giftcard to pay for it. LOL! :rotfl:

That's a great idea Sue! :rotfl2: As long as he dosen't dip into my Dooney money! Then I might make him pay for it himself. :rotfl: Nothing is keeping me from my Disney Dooney! :lmao:

:crazy2:

Ok, so maybe i'm a little :crazy2: But I have tried to send PM and none of them look like they went through  Hope you received at least one!:thumbsup2

Do they make Disney Dooney cosmetic bags? The little wristlet that I bought, that is so cute, is too short to hold my mascara, unless I take it out of the box, and it won't hold my pencils/brushes.

Totally agree! No dipping into the Dooney money! I'm planning on getting one as well. Afterall, I won the contest so I get what I want right! LOL! ;)

We fell off the first page! :scared1: Went for my massage this morning and so far no contractions. :sad1: Here's hoping for some baby pixie dust tonight!
