Olivia's 3rd Birthday Extravaganza! DDxP,BBB and PP!Oh my! Our 12/10 TR! **Finished**

Great updates! Olivia looks absolutely gorgeous! :lovestruc I'm sorry your FGIT was less than magical, but it's good to know that the photographer made up for it! I can't believe they let the FGITs be rude...that is such a wonderful experience for a little girl, and that could ruin it if they're not careful!

Great BBB pictures:thumbsup2

My girls did it last year and although they loved it they both wanted all the stuff out and off 3 hours later :headache: Probably won't be doing it again

That's too bad that you guys received a not so wonderful FGIT....luckily Olivia was too young to notice.

She looks absolutely adorable, and her photoshoot pics are priceless:goodvibes

Thank you! I really can't say how happy I was with the photoshoot! Everything about it was awesome! We even utilized their services later in the trip as well......

I was pretty upset at the time, but then I realized that I should just suck it up and be happy so Olivia didn't pick up on my bad mood! I hope for other little princesses sake, that our FGIT was having a temporary bad day and is not normally like that!

Olivia was the total opposite! She was devastated when it was time to put her jammies on at the end of the day! She LOVED being a princess and having lots of attention! We definitely got our money's worth!

Hi,
I'm new to this TR. Read all 11 pages at a stretch.
Olivia is sooooo cute  Can't wait to read more :goodvibes

JUST TWO BOBBY PINS??!!!!!! Oh wow...

You should use at least 2 to tuck the hair into the bun and then you should use a few more hair pins (they don't hold as long as bobby pins) to make it secure. Then she should have taken at least 2, one for each side to pull the hair over the side of the tiara and secure it on the side...

I'm guessing if it fell pretty soon, she used hair pins when she did the tuck..rookie mistake!!!!! I feel so bad, I could have fixed it for you :(

At least at her age, she didn't know the difference of good/bad FGITs but for $50+, I would expect the best of the best!!!

Just started reading your report. Olivia is adorable, love the way she scrunches her nose when she smiles in the pictures!! Going back to read more.

Yep, 2 bobby pins!!!! She kinda just stuffed the bun and tried to use the crown to secure it down, and the 2 pins were to pull the hair over the side of the tiara..... Here is a secret...it did need to be fixed...but that is coming in a later update! At least now I know to talk to you before we go again!!

:welcome: Glad to have you here! I'm just glad you found my TR to be interesting enough to read all 11 pages at once! Hopefully I can keep you entertained for the rest!

Melissa

Hi Melissa! :welcome: Thank you! We think she is pretty cute too! The nose crinkle cracks us up! She has done it since she she was teeny tiny!

Hi guys! Hope you all had great weekends! It was pretty busy around here. On Friday night my best friend came over with her daughter so the girls played while we talked. It was a nice relaxing evening. On Saturday my mom, Olivia and and went for a girls shopping day! It was a gorgeous day outside-mid 60s and sunny! Saturday night, it was football time! We all went to my grandma's house and ordered pizza and watched the Packers kick some hiney!! Next week should be interesting, it's the Packers and Bears in the NFC championship game. We are all Packer fans....except for Toby-he likes the Bears. While we were watching the game, I noticed Olivia was coughing a lot, had a runny nose and red cheeks....Uh oh. Sure enough, I checked her temp and it was 100.7. We headed home and it was off to bed for her (but not before some motrin, vicks rub, the humidifier and a vapor plug in). I had to work at church all day on Sunday, so I left Olivia home with daddy so she could rest and not infect all the other kids! When I finally got home Sunday night she wanted nothing but to snuggle with me. Luckily she seems fine now! In other excited news: we signed Olivia up for soccer at the YMCA!!!! I am so excited for this!!! Toby is super excited too, so excited in fact that he is going to coach her team! This should be an awesome bonding time for them. So now her schedule looks like this: Monday mornings are swimming lessons, Monday nights are soccer practice and Friday mornings are ballet and Friday nights are soccer games. She is one busy 3 year old! In other WDW related news, we are waiting on Toby's job to give in the final go ahead to take off 2 days in February so we can go to Disney! Our dates (as of now) are the 13-16, staying at the WILDERNESS LODGE!!! I am so excited! I just hope they let him have off!

Now, back to your regularly scheduled TR!

When I last left off we had just finished up the photoshoot for our newly made Princess!

We had some time to kill before our 11:55 ADR at Crystal Palace, so I let Toby decide what to do. His favorite thing in all of the MK is the Hall of Presidents, so that is where we headed. We have always been lucky with this show. We see it every single time we go to MK, and Olivia always sits through the whole thing and pays attention. The only time we have an "issue" with her is while we are waiting for the show to start and she wants to run around the lobby. I think this time she felt that it was not right for a princess to run around like a kook, so instead she spent the 10 or so minutes we had to wait posing like this:

145.jpg

She insisted I take her picture about a million times (because she was SO beautiful). I only pretended to take it each time since she was doing that exact same pose over...and over...and over...and over!

The show was good as usual. Toby is a huge history buff, so he pretty much sits on the edge of his seat the whole time! It is so funny to look around and see most of the theater relaxing or sleeping and there is Toby, sitting straight up paying attention! :rotfl:

Once the show let out we were getting thirsty so we hit up one of the snack carts outside and Toby got a Coke, I got a smart water and Olivia just wanted to share my water and get one of those Mickey bottle toppers with a straw, so we got it. The total was $9.50 and we just charged it to the room.

Once we had quenched our thirst we decided to hit the Haunted Mansion since we were right there and there wasn't really much of a line. We have really lucked out with Olivia, she has never been scared on any ride so we have taken her on everything she is tall enough for. The poor girl BEGS to ride BTMRR and Splash Mountain every single time we are there! She just doesn't understand that she is not tall enough! She always says, that she is a big girl and she won't be scared! I think we might just be at the 40 inch mark now, but we will have to see (since 40 inches here and 40 inches at Disney can sometimes be different). Anyway, we were on and off HM (leaving with our tag-a-long ghost of course) in just a few minutes.

By now it was 11:30 so we started to make our way to CP to check in. We made a pit stop at the bathrooms near the first aid station so that we could eat our meals without Olivia deciding she needed to go potty (well, hopefully). After our potty stop, we checked in and were seated pretty quickly, at 12:05.

Up next: Our lunch with Pooh!

Awww, that's so cute how Olivia wanted to keep posing like a princess! princess: I sometimes wish it was acceptable for adults to do BBB...:rolleyes1

I love Hall of Presidents, but I am guilty of taking a small nap during the show too! It's just so dark and cozy when you come in from the 90 degree weather!:rotfl2:

We were called back at 12:05 to be seated, not too bad; only 10 minutes after our ADR!

When we got to our table, we were greeted by

Olivia was SO excited by this! These little extra touches they add to celebrate birthday's is something that I just love! I think Olivia could occupy herself for hours playing with the confetti! Our server, Jeff came pretty quickly to take our drink orders: Olivia and I had lemonade, and Toby had sweet tea. Just as I was getting ready to go and get Olivia's plate I saw someone was coming, so I decided to wait until our visitor came.

Once our visit with Pooh was over, I headed up to the buffet to get some lunch for Olivia and I. Here is what I returned with:

Olivia's plate

Yes! The strawberry really was THAT big!

My plate

(I did have a salad and fruit as well...not sure I got a picture of those though).

As soon as I got back, Toby practically jumped out of his chair to go and get his food-he is a growing boy after all!

(Can you tell he is southern?)

Remember how I said he became obsessed with taking our food pictures? Here is the proof:

Yep, he took pictures of lemonade and lemons. I guess he thinks people really need to know what a glass of lemonade looks like :confused3

While we were eating, the rest of Pooh's friends came to visit us. We were super excited to see Piglet since on our last trip to CP he never made it to our table before we had to leave.

We were too stuffed to go back for dessert, but what would a birthday celebration be without a cupcake?!

Our total came to $53.23 and we left a $9.00 tip

Once again, we LOVED it here! I would recommend it without a doubt! The food isn't spectacular or anything, but it is always fresh and good, with lots of variety. The only meal we have not tried here is breakfast, and I am hoping to do that one on our next trip!

Up next: An afternoon of rides!!!

She was cracking us (and everyone around us) up with the posing! It was too funny! I have seen adults at the BBB...just saying....lol

I like HoP too...just not as much as Toby! I'm good with hitting once a year or so...but he puts up with so much of Olivia and I's addiction to WDW, I figure it is the least we can do! He was so mad when he found out about the American Adventure at Epcot, since I had never mentioned it to him... :rolleyes1

I know a bunch of you are already my friends on Facebook, but I thought I would put the link out for any new readers. I'm always excited to add new DIS friends! Here you go!

Cute pics! I loved doing BBB with my DD. Isn't it funny how they can fill the role of princess so perfectly??

I just wanted to say that we love CP for breakfast...in fact, that's the only meal that we've ever eaten there. We have enjoyed that meal so much, that every time I book it, I automatically book a breakfast! Probably because I always seem to have way to many dinner places to eat than I have dinner times, but hey, that's another story!

Too funny that your DH got so into taking the food pics :goodvibes

Crystal palace looks really good for lunch and the pics with the characters turned out awesome!

Yummy pics of CP! popcorn:: Is the waiter in the 2nd pic the waiter you had? We had him last time! (again, proof you've been to WDW way too much when you recognize CMs!)

I'm super excited to try CP for breakfast! I have heard great things about the puffed french toast! On this trip we found Olivia like the breakfast buffets best because when she actually wanted to eat breakfast, she could eat her weight in eggs!

Toby and the food pics were cracking me up the whole week! He would literally take a picture of everything that came to the table!

I think these were the best character pictures of the whole trip! I really like the way they all came out. The Piglet one is my absolute favorite though!

Yep, that was our waiter! How funny that you recognize him! Although I do have to admit, I can look at other TRs and see a CM a recognize too!

I did the same thing with the Christmas Parade too "oh I know that person, they normally dance at DHS" or whatever :rotfl2:
