Old Town car parade

last time we were in Orlando (2006) we went to Old Town on a Saturday night hoping to see the Classic car parade........but it didn't seem to happen. There had been a bad thunderstom and when we arrived it was very quiet and still raining. We did see a couple of classic cars parked up.

Would it be cancelled because of the storm?

Is Friday a better night to go?

What is a good time to get there and what time does the parade usually happen?

thanks.....still hoping to see it this time --- my son is a bit of a classic car enthusiast.

Not sure about the storms, they are very proud of their cars so maybe they don't take them out in bad weather.

Depends what type of cars you want to see to which night is better.

A lot of the cars are concours examples and wouldn't be brought out in the rain - seriously I have seen people at car shows here cleaning with toothbrushes and as soon as there is a threat of rain etc the car cover comes out or the car goes home- same there!

We don't usually bother to go if there has been rain during the day as it's usually a lot smaller than usual.

The cruise never runs as normal if it is raining or there is a chance of rain as the owners will not bring the cars out in such wheather .Bike night on thursaday nights and cars fri and sat .
