Old ticket with one day left.

I plan to ask in spite of the "NO" being shouted on here.

And yes in the past I was able to use partially used tickets to upgrade to APs so I know it used to work. I'm not sure where this "never" came from but I did it more than once and it was never a big deal.
Upgrading a partially used ticket has been allowable within 14 days of first use; but not after that.

I would just keep that old non-expiration ticket ..

The best use of the ticket would probably be this:

- If it isn't already, attach the 1-day ticket to a NEW MDE account.
- Buy a magic band for that new MDE account.
- Use that account (until they close this loophole) to book 3 additional fast passes (per day) at the 30 day mark.
Because there is an active (non-expiring) ticket attached to the account you can (at any time) make Fast Passes up to 30 days out for any day of the year.

So use that to get a few extra fast passes (for one person) on your days at the parks.

Eventually .. (many years from now) you can use that no-expiration ticket and relish in the fact that you are essentially going to WDW that day for a significant discount :).
