NO PROBLEMS!!!! This sounds really exciting, getting everyone together like this. Want to adopt?

After doing the carryouts from Beaches and Cream, go over to the solarium. I don't think I have ever been there when it's been crowded. Another thought might be to set up by a quiet pool so the little ones can do some swimming and burn off any of the excitement energy they always seem to have that first day at WDW. As far as hanging out after the kids have gone to bed, the lobby of the YC may be a little quieter than the BC lobby but later at night there really isn't any big difference between the two. The set up is such that you can easily get 12 or 14 peiople sitting around like in a big living room. Be sure to alert the front desk or concierge that there will be visitors. I'm sure they can help out to get everyone where they need to be.

Are you working with Grand Gatherings for this group? If not, you might want to check in with them as well.

Thank you so much Katesdad. you have really helped me get a handle on what to do with a roomful of people in a place I have never had the pleasure of visiting. I think it can work. I love the friendly helpful people on this board.

I can help with what is NOT handicapped if that helps. We were in 5635 and it was a BC GV CL room that WAS a connecting room. Not sure if that helps

5627 was GV CL, non handicap and non connecting. On one side was the elevators, other side was another GV CL room.

I am concerned about getting a room with 1 queen bed. Does someone know if there is a possibility of us getting assigned a single queen room? Should I talk with the IPO regarding getting a 2 queen room or??Angel16

No single queen room in CL except for deluxe (Teena?). I would contact IPO and tell them you really would like a king and a full balconey but let them know which is more important. Kings are few and far between. Count on the two queens and if you get the king it makes it that much more special (sort of like winning the lottery).

Glad to know I am not alone. The hot fudge sundae from there was excellent as was the ice cream cookie sandwich from the Main Street Bakery. The Mickey Bar at Blizzard Beach was pretty good too.

Sooo, maybe finishing my Trip Report is paying off. My husband didn't want to read it until it was complete, so he spent his spare time today reading through it.

Now he is longing to go back and is talking about how our first adult only trip should be to go back to WDW. Yay!

My son is turning 16 in September, so we figure we are only a couple of years away from beginning vacations without him. I'm sure there will be future trips with him, but once he is on his own we likely will take more vacations without him.

We both agree that for our first trip with just the two of us, we need to be back at the BC/YC so we can spend our evenings at Epcot.

Let the planning begin!

Unless he does what my almost 21 year old does.................."I'm thinking about joining you guys next year in Disney!!"

Our youngest is a Sophmore this year, DH and I plan on taking our first adult only trip in 3 years, which is our 25th anniversary....she will be in her first year in college, and the oldest will............still be in college.

I know this will sound crazy. I also know how fortunate I am to be able to have an upcoming trip. But, I want to slow my ticker down. I don't want my trip to be exactly two weeks away. I know that the minute I get to WDW, the holiday that we have been planning since January will fly by in a blink of an eye. It will be over all too soon, and then, to make matters worse, it will be time for me and my daughter to return to school. (Can you guess I am a teacher?!) And....after spending on this trip, we won't be able to go back to WDW for a few years, so I can't cure my blues by starting to plan another trip.

I love WDW. I have been visiting "The World" since August 1972 when my parents first took us. I know how great it is. I also know how hard the postholiday blues can hit me. Couple that with the start of school, and I fear a real let down. It is coloring my outlook. Oh, I don't want to be a downer. Life is too short to waste such glorious opportunities. Why is it that time at WDW seems to go by so much faster than it does in the real world?

Everyone on this thread is so kind. Thank you for letting me vent. I actually feel a little better.

I completely understand!! I have been staying away from this thread since our return from the World on June 2...............not because I don't like these people anymore..............but I am still suffering from Disney Vacation Blues. This year has been so hard for me, and I can't convince DH to move to Orlando yet, so waiting an ENTIRE year before going again seems like an eternity!!!!

Lovely thunderstorms woke me at 4:30 this am. That is just way too early and now my head is all foggy. UGH! Wish I was lying in a lounge chair at SAB right about now. (Granted, I haven't even been there yet, but it just sounds so much better than sitting at my desk getting ready to start my work day.)

Scottmel sounds like your BC CL had some issues during your visit. We will be staying BC CL Standard view in September. (First time at BC and made the reservations before I knew that all CL room did not have a great view.) Do you mind sharing what was the issues so I can prepare or side step them if possible? We are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary during out stay. I am glad to hear that a CM contacted you regarding your letter.

Angel I sent you a PM but honestly don't fret. BC is WONDERFUL. Any cutback in their lounge is a cutback at every deluxe hotel.Fewer dessert options at night, no lemonade or tea at dinner or evening, etc. I am sure it is site wide across disney....Nothing PERSONAL to the BC. I would stay at BC or YC again easily

5:30 would have been fine, since the alarm would have gone off less than 10 minutes later anyway. But 4:30...ugh! And I made the mistake of trying to go back to bed. Why? Now this is what I feel like....

Do you have an under 3? CRO wouldn't let me book GV CL or LV CL even though it was available. The same thing happened at YC in June and BC last September.

Nope, our youngest is 11. And I double checked our reservation and it definitely says party of 5 with all our names listed. This will be our 4th time staying club level at YC/BC with a group of 5, we've always been lucky to get a daybed, even though they always say no guarantee.

Really thinking of upgrading from pirate room at CBR to BC. Is it worth it? DS5 and DD16mo (and DH). Are there any standard view rooms that are decent? Or is it worth the upgrade to garden view? Thanks!
