Old Key West Room Request Help

Hello,
We have a one bedroom villa at Old Key West booked. I watched a video and saw a balcony that overlooked the river. Can anyone confirm what buildings or room request would help with possibly getting that view in a one bedroom?

We don’t care about being close to buses or anything other than hopefully having a nice view.
(Would be nice to be somewhat close to Hospitality House, but don’t mind walking at all)

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Buildings 45, 46, and 55. These buildings are nearer to south point bus stop. 45 and 46 are next to each other. 55 is furthest from hospitality but closest to walking trail to Disney Springs during daylight.

I never knew there was a walking trail from OKW to DS. But, looking at a satellite image, there seems to be one going through the golf course to Saratoga, then on to DS. Thank you for the post.

Yes! When look at the image, the nature path follows the waterway (boat route) and doesn’t use or interfere with the golf cart paths.

Thank you! Is the walking trail open in the evenings too?
Do you also know if bike rentals are currently available?
Thanks!

Jumping on this post.

I booked okw for 2 nights before our august 30 cruise. We purposely chose NOT to be in HH. We would love a recommendation on which pool is quiet and possibly have some shade so we can put in a room request. Everytime I’ve stay at okw we are always in HH area. But, we decided to limit ours
exposure to others before getting on the ship. So no parks, don’t need bus. It looks like there are 2 quiet pools (Miller rd and peninsular rd). Please share some info. Tks

There is also a pool at the end of Old Turtle Pond Rd. It has a snack bar, open seasonally (it used to be open in the summer, but I am not sure if that is still the case.)

Do you need total shade all day long? My experience has been there are some tables with umbrellas for shade. Most other lounge chairs were in the sun at least part of the day, if not most of it. Hopefully others can comment on the shade situation at Miller and Pennisular.

I also am not sure how quiet the pools are right now. Some visitors might be planning more pool time than usual, trying to reduce their park hours.

thank you for the info. Yes, I can’t be in the sun, (medical) though I do take a pool dip, but get back in the shade. I usually find a lounger under a tree if I can. Husband likes the sun. We aren’t going until the end of august. I knew about the other pool, but figured it would be busy.

When we stayed in building 22 on Miller’s Rd the quiet pool there had most of the time no one there or one family.

Here are pictures of the South Point quiet and the Turtle pond pool. Turtle pond will have more people but there is quite a bit more man made shade with umbrella's and also the two little pavilion things that I marked with a blue X. The second row of umbrellas at Turtle Pond is a nice area to not be in the sun. Both pools will have lots of shade in the evenings. South Pond lounges on the far right will be in the shade early mornings as well. South point quiet pool.JPGTurtle pond pool.JPG

Thank you for all of the info. I really appreciate it!
