Old Key West renovations

Does anyone know exactly which buildings have been renovated already? Or if you request to just be put in a renovated building does this work? Also, are buildings 62, 63, 64 renovated or newer? Thanks

Building 38 was not renovated. We stayed in a studio room 3812 from Aug 13-Aug 17 and the room was really quite disgusting. Leaking faucets, fridge turned off and leaking, dirty patio, gross carpets, housekeeping trailers outside our door, ashtrays not emptied, garbage can in courtyard overflowing. Another guest told my husband that this was one of the buildings not renovated.

I don't know which buildings have been recently renovated, but buildings 62,63 and 64 are the newest buildings.
We stayed in building 63 within months of its opening, but at this point that was, I believe, over 7 years ago.

Buildings at OKW are constantly undergoing renovations, and it's hard to tell which ones have recently been done or are due to be done. I believe they are on about an every 3-5 year schedule though. We have only had one unit in bad need of repair in 11 years, and that was the fisrt GV we stayed in. The front desk said they were closing it right after our trip to do the rennovations. It really is just the luck of the draw. While it's true that buildings 62, 63, and 64 are newer, they have already gone through at least one rennovation already.
