See, don't go to bed early. Who knows what you'll miss??? I'll have to take a look at that site!

Had to go to bed. My meds were kicking in and I needed my beauty rest. Remember....even my doc said I looked bad.

I can totally picture that. :rotfl:

I am missing the purse gene. I just don't get it. I have one purse. The same one I've had for almost 3 years now and like all my purses, it came from Target. :lmao:

I don't have the purse gene either. I like Kate Spade purses because they are cute and functional. And they suit my personality. I refuse to pay the Kate Spade price though. The last one I had was such a deal. I had it for a long long time. Then the strap broke, so I took it to get fixed. Finally it went to purse heaven. Most of my purses I get from Target or Ross. I hate spending a lot of money on them. My favorite purse was one I got from Ross. But I had it stolen and I could never find one like it again. But this website is great. Most of the bags cost just a little more than what I pay at Target or Ross for them.

I'm also missing the pampered gene. I do not like the thought of getting a mani, pedi or massage.

I do have that gene. BUt since I have the tightwad gene as well, I don't indulge in that. I do my own mani and pedis. And I get a massage rarely.

Hmmm, come to think of it I do believe I am missing the fine dining gene as I'd much prefer a pizza and pitcher of cold soda, over everything and anything on the menu in a fancy restaurant.

I have the pizza gene as well. It over rides most of my other genes. I enjoy fine dining, but not as much as pizza. Thankfully I have someone who enjoys fine dining, but would just as well have pizza with me.

I guess my husband should be really happy about all that since between those three missing genes, he just saved a ton of money! :rotfl2:

I wish I could dump my napping gene though.

Oh, Beth, I am SO like you!!! I like massages, but don't care very much about manis and pedis. And prefer pizza and beer, not soda. I've never really liked soda, only if it has alcohol added to it!!

My only vice is Disney!! And that costs DH enough as it is. I should tell him how lucky he is I don't do the other stuff!!

Yep, on Thursday. We can do some outlet shopping (Disney store, Coach store, etc), then head to Town Square for lunch at one of several options there. That's also the day we'll do the Welcome to Vegas sign pics since we will be driving right by it.

Woo hoo :woohoo:

I wish I could dump my napping gene though.

I do have the purse gene (it's my one big indulgence!). I don't have the shoe gene though - I am a flip-flop for every occasion kind of girl :thumbsup2 (seriously, I :lovestruc flip-flops). I have funny feet and I have issues finding shoes that fit well, are cute, and comfortable. So I do flip-flops - to the pool flip-flops, shopping flip-flops, at Disneyland flip-flops, going out flip-flops - love it!

I do have the fine dining gene, but I also have the pizza gene! I do love to get my manicure (mostly because my nails are not very strong and I used to bite my nails until I was about 30 :scared1:) and pedicure (love the flowers they paint on - I could never do that myself!).

Im a flip flop girl as well. If I find a great pair, I will buy them in a few colors. I wear flip flops almost all year long. Can never have too many you know.

Damn, I went to bed early, and almost 4 pages go by.

And as far as what people wear.....you will see just about everything. Heck, even when I went last time we were all dressed so different when we went out. My brother looked like he just walked out of Tommy Bahama, Cesar had on jeans, chucks and a grey tee, Nikki wore jeans and a cute top, I wore capris and a top, and our friend Camillle work a slinky little leopard print dress with heels forever. No one of us looked like we were with any of the others.

I found an amazing website that has designer knockoffs. anyknockoff.com I got a great Kate Spade "inspired" purse and I love it. I checked online and outlets for it, and it was $375 for the cheapest one. I ended up going through this site, and it cost a 1/10 of that. And it looks just like the real deal.

Love Kate Spade! I'm gonna look.
That description of how you didn't wanna be with each other just cracked me up.

Don't forget,, that's the doctor who's such a wuss he went "Eeuw" when he saw your bites.

Have you ever had your thyroid checked? I used to nap until we found out why. (although some people just nap and are fine)

!

OMG - you're a GUY!

I also have trouble buying shoes that fit. Wide feet.
I've got the foodie gene - fine dining or great local dives like some wonderful secret taco stand. I just like good food (unfortunately).

Manicure/pedicure gene but only if it's done by my favorite person. Had a bad experience once elsewhere.

I don't have the fine jewelry gene, so my DH lucked out there. I also (being an animal lover) have no fur gene.

I wish I could dump my napping gene though.
No, napping is good. Your body needs rest.

What items do you use when you do your own pedis? I bought that ped egg or whatever it's called and like that pretty well. Anything you'd recommend?

Yeah, most people want a pitcher of cold beer, but since I don't drink I had to sub soda for that. lol

Disney can be a pretty expensive vice. I forgot about that. :rolleyes1 :lmao:

Where do you find your flip flops at? Do you get the fun, cheapo ones at Target and Kohls? Or do you get those flip flops (can't remember the name now) that are like $70 for one pair??

And what size do you wear?

OK, just to let y'all know, there are now links to all of our activities, meals, shows, etc on the front page. They are all in post #8. So if anyone wants to go over a menu or read about a show or whatever, it should be listed there.

If you find something missing, please let me know. I just thought it would help with some of the planning to have the links handy. :)

Yep - wide feet (from not wearing shoes :scared1:) and VERY high arches! I also have the foodie gene - but we really don't have any great local dives around here. Divey dives, yes. Great dives, no :sad2: I love that show - Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives with Guy Fieri.

I get flip-flops all over the place! I bought some ones for the pool for $2.00 at Wal-Mart and I do have a couple of pairs of $80 crystal-studded ones (love them!!). I also have a $20 very small crystal flower studded pair that I wear all the time in the summer when I go out (daytime). I have way too many pairs of flip-flops!

My feet used to be a size 7 before I was pregnant, now they are a size 9 :scared1: No one warned me they would GROW!!! Plus, because I spend so much time bare foot at home, they have widened (that's just not fair!!!). So while I may like cute shoes, unfortunately, they do not like me :sad1: So I get purses instead :woohoo:

When i was taking little churro to my mom's ... a lady stopped me in the parking lot and asked where i bought him from!!!... i told her i made him...she said..you should sell them. i called my boyfriend and said guess what Babe.. we're gonna be Rich.. i'm gonna start makin' little churro people!:snooty:

:rotfl2:

I can't wait to see a pic!

Funny story about Fluffy - I used to work late evening shift in a hospital and one night we were in the back staff lounge and were joking around. One of the girls had her legs on the table and was laughing so hard - she bent forward and did a little toot. I called her Fluffy for ever after that. Whenever I see Fluffy I think about that :lmao:

PS - Boys are inconsiderate :sad2:

Well, I could probably be called Fluffy for similar reasons . . . . .

I want to get to the Rio right at 5 when it opens. It's a nice way to enjoy the lounge and drinks, without the Barbie crowd that shows up later in the evening.

Agreed!

Beth is right. Wear sleeveless and carry a lightweight slip on sweater for in the casinos.

These arms don't do sleeveless . . . .

I love shoes, purses, make-up, dresses and skirts. I'm such a girly girl in that way. Kate Spade and Coach are my two favorites for purses. Sephora and Ulta are my two homes, as well as the make-up counter at Nordstrom's. I LOVE heels. I love anything that sparkles (like Edward Cullen, lol). I also love flip-flops, pizza w/beer and fast food. I also like to go to fancy places (as long as I'm not paying :rotfl:). I really love most everything.

Once upon a time, I despised heels, clothes shopping, any kind of shopping really, and beer. Then one day everything changed and I turned into a princess! princess: :rotfl2:

I have a purse gene, shopping gene, fine dining gene, wine gene, pizza & beer gene & pedi gene & like Wendy I have a sparkly gene!

I am learning to like heels. All of my friends wear them when we go out, I do sometimes. I think having two boys & running from soccer field to baseball field, its much easier to run in Nikes.

$80 flip flops! OK, you have to bring those. I want to see what they look like. ;)

I have a couple pair that are brand new that I can't wear. I was going to pass them along to you, but they are size 10. Yep, my feet are actually larger then yours. :sad2:

I spend most of my time barefoot. If I could go barefoot while out running errands, I would.

Nor do mine. And my legs do not do shorts. :scared:

Of all those, the only one I agree on is the make-up. I love experimenting with make-up. But I get the cheapo stuff like Revlon. :rotfl:

I used to wear heels all the time. I don't know how I did it. Now wearing heels feels like a punishment.

You can give them to me! You can also give me all of your clothes that are too big for you!

Same here! The most skin I show is in capris and a 3/4" sleeve shirt.

I will definitely be bringing at least one pair of my $80 flip-flops (they are my evening wear :thumbsup2 - very sparkly!) I'm also a barefoot girl at home (which is why my darn feet are so funky now!!!)

I found out about a mineral makeup called EveryDay Minerals. You can get five free samples (travel size - quite generous) and all you pay is the shipping. I thought I'd give it a try because I have sensitive skin and wanted something for my redness (:sad1:). I got them and I love it! It is very light and the green (I thought it would make me look like Kermit) really works. I'm very happy and now I'm going to order the full size!!!

You can give them to me! You can also give me all of your clothes that are too big for you!

Flip-flops rule!! I saw a t-shirt today that you would love from Torrid. It says I heart Boys Who Sparkle :lovestruc

Beth, BTW, you can sign me up with the pervs at OG. I'm going to go (I have to do it at least once, right???) Besides, I really want Stacie to eat fried pickles
