OKW or SSR? Opinions Please..

I have only stayed at OKW HHI and SSR but found that I like SSR the best, just my opinion . But where did DVC cut corners with SSR ? I know I havent stayed in Heaven oh I mean BCV so I would like to know.

One item I recently noticed is that the SSR rooms across the board ( studios, 1bed, 2bed, and GV) have the least square footage of all the DVC resorts. I believe I saw this in the "Unofficial Guide to WDW" book.

Yes, according to the UG, SSR has the smallest DVC rooms in all categories.

OKW is the largest, Followed by BWV, WLV, BCV and last , SSR.

We stayed in Congress Park last year directly across from PI and found our room very quiet. We were in a lock off and never heard a peep out of the room next door (maybe there was no one in it). So sound was never an issue for us.

At OKW I could hear the family next door on several occasions.

i cant address the differences between okw and ssr, but my family just did a split stay at ssr/bwv in a 2 bdrm. four adults and 3 kids in the group. all adults preferred the room at ssr b/c everything was newer and cleaner. some wear and tear in the 2 bdrm at bwv was disappointing after first staying at ssr. however, all adults preferred atmosphere at the bwv to ssr. we were in the springs portion of ssr on nye and had no noise issues whatsoever. as one other person noted, the rooms at ssr (at least our room at ssr) was spotless and it was convenient to go refill your cup at the food court.

I've stayed at all resorts except the BCV. My DD and I stayed in a studio at SSR this past weekend and really liked it. Our family happen to be big OKW fans because we ususally get a nice big 2 bedroom.

We stayed in the Springs and had a nice view of the pool. Quick walking distance to the bus stop and the Carriage House. I thought for sure we would hear the bus .... but alas, we did not! We did hear a few kids running up and down the hallway though. The concrete walkways really carry the noise. I would definitely stay there again. I liked the newness, the artist palatte, the bed, and the theming. I didn't think the studio seemed small except for the vanity area.

Love OKW too. We like the quietness of the resort. We like that it is removed from Disney. I get tired of always having the mouse in the house. We usually request the HH area and have never been disappointed. Love the 1bd and above, wouldn't stay in studio. I like having a couch.

Stayed in a 1bd and studio at BWV. Not sure about going back. The bed was a little uncomfortable and the shower never got hot (maintenance changed the shower handle, but still luke warm). I felt a little overstimulated there. Lots of stuff going on. Hard to relax with so much to do. Can't beat the proximity to Epcot though. Some advice.... the hallways are freezing and we had one of the farthest rooms out. Oh yeah, we could hear our neighbor snoring next door (we had a dedicated 1 bd).
